This place is worth the Detour! Best BBQ. We arrived late but happened to run into the owner on the sidewalk, he was kind enough to re- open his shop to feed us. We had the best chopped brisket I have ever tasted (and I am a native Texan)! Must Eat Here. Not to mention- Dog Friendly, family friendly, casual Patio atmosphere.
Wow, wow, wow!!! We were looking for somewhere to stop for dinner and hit the jackpot! This was, hand’s down, the best brisket we ever had. It melted in our mouths and was paired with a delicious homeade sauce, amazing bear bread, delicious beans and the sweetest, most incredible cherry cobbler we’ve ever had. The sweet and unsweetened tea was amazing as well. We had great conversation with the owner who shared information about Big Bend National Park. We’ll be back when we go to W.Texas.
I stopped by on a road trip for some food and definitely made the right choice. The food was excellent, with the brisket being freshly made, juicy, and tender. The sausage is pretty much the same and is also very good. They give you a dessert with your meal, either being Apple or Blueberry Cobbler, which, as you might’ve guessed, was once more, very delicious. If I ever stop by this town again, this is where I’m gonna eat.
This is the best BBQ I have ever had i been north south east and west and ther no place that is even comparable first off, the brisket grilled cheese is heaven on earth. Perfect in every way it does not lack on portion size trusted me one sandwich will feel you.
And their mac and cheese brisket burrito is to die for i have literally had everything on the menu. At least once, and I have never had a complaint.
Very very friendly customer service the lovely couple that runs it are awesome people
Took a little detour to stop here on the way to Big Bend. Completely worth it. This was maybe the best brisket I’ve ever had. Perfect end pieces, so tender, just the right amount of fat. Great mac and cheese and beer bread too
