Texans love their brisket and BBQ. In Abilene, this is my second-favorite of many great spots that serve this fare... the food is delicious, the service is great, but the restaurant lacks the old-timey rugged flair that goes hand-in-hand with an authentic barbecue joint, in my opinion. Still gets five stars.

This is my first time trying the food here, and the brisket was very dry,I think I'll be chewing on this for a couple more hours, and there's barely any warmth left in it. The turkey was spongy and not grilled, the cornbread had no flavor, and the sausage casing left much to be desired. Most to every thing was bland. The kids loved the fries and okra for sure!

I just got my to go order for 2 wrong, I ordered loaded nachos and got fries instead, I asked how many pieces of bread comes with the plate and they told me 2 so I asked 1 more extra, we only got 1 instead of the 3, also no plastic utensils or napkins at all, I got over charged too, the ribs were kind of hard and brisket not that good.

Here on a business trip for work and wanted to try out new places. I ordered food to go, it looked amazing but I can say I wasn't impressed one bit. I got a 2 meat plate. The brisket has little to no flavor, the potatoes were as hard as a rock, and the sausage has a weird texture. But the okra was good. The brisket reminded me of a pot roast with zero flavor.
