The food was good for a gas station stop. I enjoyed the mash potatoes the best. You get a lot of food for a decent price. The meat was cold though and I would have preferred it to be warmer. I gave the corn bread to my son since it wasn’t gluten free and he didn’t eat it. Overall it did the job for the quick stop we needed to do while traveling.
Been coming here for years now. The food was off. Orded 2 lbs. of moist brisket to go like I normally do and price sky rocketed. Got home and it’s so dry I should’ve got beef jerky. I’ll try it out maybe one more time but we’ll see. Seems like more and more smoke houses are going g down the drain.
Awesome place to visit nice clean truck stop but the downside is there’s no Showers it’s a Pilot for fuel and they do Honer Pilot points.
I had such a fantastic experience at Texas Best Smokehouse! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They have an impressive variety of snacks and food options, from classic road trip munchies to signature smoked meats and jerky. Their selection of local products is amazing, too. I picked up some unique sauces and Texas souvenirs I couldn’t find anywhere else. It’s super convenient, with a Starbucks right next door for that caffeine fix before hitting the road again. It’s my new go-to stop whenever I’m passing through. Five stars all the way!
I was driving in from Dallas to Baton Rouge late I called and spoke to David from Texas smokehouse around 9:35 asking if he would still serve us even if we were 15 minutes out from the restaurant knowing they close at 10 he’s so graciously held all the food out ready for us when we arrived and greeted us with a happy upbeat spirit. He and his team made us feel so welcoming, even at the end of their shift. Thank you David for the pleasant Experience in serving us with our food promptly and it was so delicious we will return. Recommend all travelers to stop here Very nice place gas , clean bathrooms , Starbucks in side ,and delicious bbq where we got our food was right there and many desserts to take for the road! Great place!
