This is a nice spot for a variety of beers, a nice whiskey selection, decent brisket (not excellent), and helpful, young female bartenders. I enjoyed the music, and the guy next to me at the bar had his cute chocolate lab with him Don't be afraid to drop in to this little hole in the wall bar.Update: On my 2nd visit, the bartender refused to serve me the 1-meat plate I had ordered the week prior. He told me it's a lunch menu option not available at dinner. I had ordered it for dinner the week before when a different bartender told me it was an off-menu option.Update 2: I went in to revisit this place, and the guy at the bar next to me ruined my experience. He never shut up. I hear he was pretty good at high school football. JFC. And this time I noticed something that is really dumb. They have a sign posted prominently by the door that says WE LOVE PETS BUT ONLY SERVICE ANIMALS ARE ALLOWED IN OUR DINING ROOM. Yet, there were at least three dogs in the dining room, and none of them were service animals. Why put up a big honking sign and just ignore it?

There is so much to love about this place!!! The food is off the carts amazing!!! The wait staff is fantastic!! My only drawback would be the bar tenders. Seems like everyone else is working but not them. Very odd for bar staff they are usually the hardest working group!! Come for the food, sit at the bar if you want a drink and ask for seconds on anything they serve with brisket!! It's amazing!

Barrel & Bones 🦴This place is definitely a meat 🍖 eater's heaven! However, even somebody like myself, who is a vegetarian, found something that was phenomenal on the menu 🍗There were four people in our party and everyone loved what they ordered. For a starter, we got chips and queso with the meat on the side.Everyone got meat in their meal except for myself. I ended up getting 3 of Killer Sides. I got the fried okra, smoked buffalo cauliflower, and the vegetable of the day; which was brussels sprouts. The brussels sprouts were by far my favorite. However, something to keep in mind about their sides is the fact that they are huge portions! I could not finish it all. In fact, no one finished all their food because the portions are huge!I spoke to the manager, Omar, for a moment, and let him know how wonderful the food and the service was. He should be very proud of this restaurant. It was clean, our waitress was super friendly and efficient, and not to mention, the food was great! I would highly recommend anybody trying this place out if you are in the area.Barrel & Bones: 2801 Plano Pkwy Suite #140, The Colony, TX 75056

I recently discovered a wonderful restaurant. The ambiance was quite relaxed and rustic. They boast a superb bar with a fantastic selection of drinks; my personal favorite is their smoked old fashioned. In my opinion, their Texas twinkies surpassed those at Hutchins, being light and complemented by a delicious sauce. Other items, such as the brisket, were equally excellent. I highly recommend trying their truffle fries. This place is truly a hidden gem, and I wholeheartedly recommend it if you seek a tranquil setting with a great atmosphere in afternoon.

This is a hidden gem. Great food, service and great place just to hang out. Mikaela our server was the best server I had this year. Friendly, kind and truthful. She was the only server at the time, but she took great care of us. The ribs was so tender falls off the bone. The okra was decent I had better but the rest of our order was great. Will definitely return in the future.
