Bodacious Bar-B-Q

Spent $20 on ribs and brisket and it was dryer than a bone! Horrible food! Best thing I ate was the beans. What a waste of my money!

Stopped in for business lunch with friends. Nice place with friendly staff. I had the two meat platter with brisket and ribs with Mac and cheese and fried okra as my sides. Brisket was good, tender and moist. Ribs were a bit dried out, but good flavor. Fried okra was really good.

They are usually really good- but this time the ribs were tough- rather than falling off the bone (as uaual) . My order consisted of 1lb of sliced brisket ( it was dry tho tasty & ribs lb. two chopped brisket sandwiches two drinks & a slice of cheese. It was over $80. However everyone has had to raise prices to keep their doors open.

Prices are way too expensive for what you get. Food could be better as well. Something they use gives most people heartburn. I'm giving low stats simply on value. 4oz of potato salad or beans is literally 3 spoon fulls. If buying here no point in ordering sides save your money. You order a plate they put everything together now as well to save meat. Also 3 identical orders and 1 was still wrong after we got home.

This was the FIRST time I had ever visited Bodacious Barbecue in Tatum. I can truly say that I will NOT be going back. I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! I am the type person that usually gives a restaurant the benefit of the doubt, but this place, not so much! First off, I ordered the fish basket, as you can see from the pictures. The fish was tough and rubbery. I was REALLY wanting chicken, but I was told from the cashier that chicken was only sold on Saturday evenings, and I had went in on a Friday evening, my luck, geez! BUT the sign out by the road clearly states that they have chicken and it does not specify any particular days that it is served, so that is EXTREMELY misleading! And I am sure once I make this post, they will change their sign out by the road to specify WHICH days they ACTUALLY sell chicken! So anyway, I order my food, pay and get my drink and I sit down and wait for my order..... I see several people come in after me that place their orders and get their drinks as well and sit down with their drinks to wait on their orders as well. I begin to see after about 5, maybe 7 minutes, that 6 people that came in AFTER me, have began to get their orders delivered to their table. At first first I did not say anything, but then when I noticed that 5 more people that came in AFTER me, got their food, then I began to wonder if maybe I got overlooked?? And I was NEVER told at the time I made my order that there would be any longer wait time than normal, so this really had me confused. So after about 15 minutes, I decided I would go ask if maybe my order had been forgotten, or what??? The lady behind the counter told me, it's coming right out. So my response was okay. I go sit down and wait once again. About 7 minutes later, I get my order. I NEVER once was checked on, AFTER I got my food, by the ladies or men, working there, while I was there, to see if my food was to my satisfaction or if I needed anything. However, everyone that was seated in the tables around me, the ones that came in AFTER me, yeah those folks, they were asked if their food was to their satisfaction, did they need anything else, did they need any dessert, did they need any ice, napkins, etc..... This is absolutely ridiculous! I'm very glad I have this forum to voice my opinion and give my reviews so that others can see how some people are treated. Bodacious Barbecue you should be ASHAMED!
