I really liked this place to eat BBQ. When I got here I didn't know that H-E-B opened up this lil restaurant. I wasn't expecting it to be so good. My family and I got the "family plate"that feeds 4 that left us with a little extra to-go. It came with 1lb of brisket & 1lb of turkey, which was delicious and juicy. It came with 2 sides of your choice. The Serrano cornbread was flavorful and the mac & cheese was creamy which I liked. I also recommend trying the potato salad. Great atmosphere also. It has downstairs & upstairs to eat. Has elevator.

Usually come here 2 times a week since I live and work nearby. Recently came in to get my usually brisket and it was very dry. Both the lean and fatty. I asked the guy at the counter if I could get a different cut and was told no. Crazy how one bad customer service team member can turn away a loyal customer. Won't be going back.

And we are in San antonio trying restaurants this week. I'm not going to be as indepth as I usually am on this one.This place has good reviews so we thought we would stop inFirst impressions, it needs a cleaning. The tables, the "fixins" area, everything..Price, in my opinion, on some things is fair, but on most, vs comparable places, about 10%-15% too high..They charge for butter.... this is "unusual" again, maybe it's different in this areaI purchased the one meat brisket, I'm glad I did, less disappointed this was. Dry, very dry.2/5 It saddens me because I can guarantee it was good before it sat.... Bark, ring, flavor, all of that is good, just to dry and it can be easily avoided.The mac and cheese is good, nice flavors, the pasta is perfect. 4/5Brisket and beans has a little spice which I like, it's a good side.3.5/5Collard greens, these are not great.... 2/5Pulled pork mac, decent.3/5Brisket potato (chopped brisket) This is good. 4.5/5Overall. 3/5

Ordered the two meat plate on a big touch screen. Was hard to order and see because of high glare on the screen. They take your phone number and txt you when ready. Inside they have several dinning areas. One dining area inside ground floor, a second outside, and a third on the second floor. All dining areas were clean and well lit. My order was ready in short time. Everything on my order was delicious! A friendly service lady came out twice to check on me while I was eating. I got sliced brisket and sausage, cream corn, fried okra, pickles, onions, bbq sauce, and two slices of bread. Very much enjoyed eating here. ðŸ‘
