Took our son and some of his fellow airmen after USAF Tech School graduation. Food was delicious, staff were friendly and helpful and they have cornbread muffins. Sauces were very tasty, all the airmen thought the spicy one "had a little kick". It was a great time.

I'm not much of a meat lover but my son-in-law wanted bar-b-q. I was very impressed with everything even the brisket which I ordered. Very good food. Loved this place.

Not sure why it took me so long to write this review, but here it is! I visited Rusty Bucket Jaw Smacking BBQ again last week, which is probably my 20th time—and for a good reason. This place consistently delivers jaw-smacking BBQ that lives up to its name. From the moment you walk in, the vintage Texas-themed decor transports you back in time, filled with antiques that add to the charm. It's like stepping into a true Texas BBQ haven. Now, let's talk about the food—because that's what truly makes this place special. I ordered the Farmer's Chop Sandwich and brisket, and once again, they knocked it out of the park. The brisket is on a god-tier level, with a perfect smoke ring, melt-in-your-mouth tenderness, and just the right amount of bark and smokiness. The Farmer's Chop Sandwich is an absolute beast—packed with all the meats, making every bite feel heavenly. If you love BBQ, this is the kind of sandwich that makes you stop mid-bite just to appreciate the perfection. The portions are generous, the flavors are authentic Texas BBQ, and the overall experience is nothing short of amazing. If you're a BBQ lover or just visiting San Antonio, this is an absolute must-visit. Trust me, you'll leave full, satisfied, and already planning your next visit.🔥 Rating: 5/5 - A BBQ Lover's Paradise!

This was my first time dining here. My daughter took me there during my visit with her. The food was amazing (I had The Smackdown baked potato w/sausage and ribs) and the staff was friendly and professional. The atmosphere was very laid back and inviting. The next time I visit Texas, this is definitely the place I'm going to get the best BBQ.

A good, low-key, Texas BBQ joint. Plenty of items on the menu for nearly any meat-eater to find something they like. The meat was tasty, but the pulled pork had large chunks of fat that threw us for a loop. We tried to order three different desserts to learn they were out of each, and we didn't care for the two on which we settled, the apple cobbler and bread pudding. It's quite possible that the act of having them pre-packaged in plastic to-go containers created the impression of lacking freshness. In any case, we may skip dessert and the pulled pork, but I know we will be back again.
