Best bbq of your life --If you come to San Antonio, please do yourself a favor and stop here. My wife and I have been searching for a place like this (for a while). A place where you feel like the brisket, pulled pork, ribs & other items were made to perfection. We will be back! -- oh don't forget to try the banana pudding (it's so delicious)

The line was extremely long, but it moved very fast. They provided cold bottles of water while you waited in the line. It didn't seem long at all and it was pretty shaded so that made a big difference as well. Ordering was fast, after we figured out how to order. I would have liked to see more menu signs and at least two or three vegan options. The seating was nice and comfortable, the decor was beautiful with the deers and other animals mounted to the walls, high ceilings, containers available for leftovers, outdoor seating available etc Overall great place!

This place had a decent line out the door after 6 pm. Some items were sold out for day beef ribs and chicken. The atmosphere is great. The food line moves along pretty well. Got a nice sample of brisket turkey and pork ribs. The glaze on the ribs was tasty but a little sweet for me personally.

One of the best BBQ places I have ever had. The brisket was tender and juicy, the beef rib was great, and the pulled pork was really good as well. The turkey was not salty and had a great bark. Also the sausage may be some of the best I have had.Sides were also very good. I liked the Mac and cheese and the potato salad.Highly recommend getting there early. We got there about 20 minutes before opening and by the time we were done ordering there was a line about 20 people deep. The way Pinkertons works is you get your bread and cold sides first, then move on to the hot sides, then the meat is sliced or prepared at the end. You can get the meat by weight or slices. The team at Pinkerton's walks you through the process and is very friendly; so this is not a Seinfeld Soup Nazi scenario.

One of the best barbecue places we've ever had. Really enjoyed all our food. Had to wait in line out the door but it was worth it! Had the brisket sandwich which was very good lean brisket. The jalapeno cheese rice is VERY good. Great Mac and cheese, very creamy and cheesy. If you like spice they serve some of the hottest jalapenos on the side that I've ever had. I found the prices very decent for great BBQ. Can't wait to go back to San Antonio just to eat here!
