I ordered three poor boys from this location. When I got home and we opened our sandwiches, there was more fat in there than meat. The price of a Poor Boy isn't exactly as the name describes and then to have it full of fat. It would have been one thing if it was only one of them but ALL three were like this.

Not much brisket for the price and the brisket was not completely cooked. The coleslaw looked bad and tasted even worse. The roles were okay and the French fries were pretty good. Was a rather long wait for service and the place is not really fancy.

Smh. 😞🙄 $35 on two plates and a kids meal. This was mostly fat in the brisket. I wish I took more up close pics of all the meat. You see the green bean serving? Like really half a scoop? As soon as I got my order I took a picture cause I knew it was some bull. At the speaker one of the workers said "can I have five dollars?" and laughed after I ordered. Shits not funny. I knew then my order was going to be wrong. The Mac and Cheese was fine. Can't say that about the rice though. But yeah I was pissed about my brisket. Every single bite I took was full of fat. Barely any edible meat other than the little you do see in the picture. I don't even know why they decided to put the green beans with the meat. Look at the bottom of that tray, that's juice from the green beans not BBQ sauce which the meat was lacking. It should have been where the rice or mac was and not running everywhere. Food was overpriced, workers unprofessional, food was a flop. I'll just stick with the chop sandwiches from now on. And not at this location. 👎👀

We stopped in for breakfast during our visit to San Antonio. They are located across the street from our hotels and after seeing lots of calls in the parking lot every morning we decided to give them a try. We had the breakfast bowl and my husband got the pancakes and sausage. They are very generous with their portions and the prices are affordable. However the sausage didn't seem to have very much flavor and the rest of the meal was just average. It appears to be cafeteria style with plenty of seating indoors. Overall, it's a good choice for those on a budget.

We passed by a Bill Miller Bar-B-Q place driving into San Antonio and, seeing a second one, we figured that it had to be decent to have a chain out here. We were famished and ready for anything. So we stepped into Bill's for lunch. I thought the menu was pretty straightforward. Wife went for the chicken tenders meal and I went for the crispy chicken sandwich meal as well as a bean and cheese taco. It did take a little over 5 minutes for them to make the sandwich but we had the taco and tenders to keep us company until then. So, Bill's has been around since the 1950s and maybe it is just something they have always done but they serve their tenders and fries with country gravy. If you check the photo, you will see the bowl there. I have to say that dipping fries in it reminded me of mashed potatoes and gravy...because it was. The tenders were crispy and decent. The taco had an ample amount of cheese and was also good. I got the southwest ranch addition to the sandwich which was alright. It was crispy and looked great but I think it lost something by way of the sauce. It was really interesting going to a place that has "Bar-B-Q" in the name and, yet, no BBQ sauce at the condiments station (which had salsa, pickles, packets of a hot sauce and a few other items) or in a bottle nearby. It might have helped the sandwich. If I judge my Mexican restaurants by their salsa, I also view a BBQ place by a sauce. As of now, I will remember this place for dipping my fries in gravy. Not a bad memory and not a bad restaurant.
