Great food. So we were driving through Texas and just looking for somewhere to swing in and grab a quick bite to eat while traveling through. And stumbled upon this great place off google. Figured what could it hurt to give them a try. I’m like everyone else and like food except I’m one of the ones who leaves reviews good and bad. I’m skeptical of food trucks because, well almost anyone can have one. But this one in particular had amazing BBQ. I got the brisket the ol lady got the pulled pork. And my buddy got I think maybe a sampler. All three of us were in awe of how great the food was. So if you’re ever in Fate ,Texas and you don’t stop by you’re missing out. If we are ever back in the area we will definitely stop here again.

I can’t believe I haven’t tried Smoak Town BBQ sooner because it is freaking awesome. I was hungry for dinner earlier than usual and decided to give them a try, and boy, I am glad I did. The lady who greeted me was so friendly and helpful. I ordered a 2 meat Platter which comes with your choice of meats and 2 sides. I ordered the fatty side of the brisket, which is my favorite, and the other meat I ordered was pulled pork. The 2 sides I ordered were creamy corn and potato salad. The brisket was so moist and delicious with a beautiful top bark full of crispy and crunch. The pulled pork was so moist and had a lovely taste, which I paired with the cup of bbq sauce in the meal. The homemade sides were specifically on target and complimented the meats. The creamy corn was very different from anything I’ve ever had before. A nice creamy corn with a touch of heat and a wonderful flavor that will be chosen again next time. The potato salad was some of the best I’ve ever had in my life. That’s a huge compliment from a Southern lady. Overall, there is plenty of food in that container to last a while. The location is a cute food truck area right in downtown Fate. There are other food trucks around with different choices. They have picnic tables all around and cute outside lights. This was my first visit, but I’ve been driving by it every day since opening. This might have been my first visit, but it won’t be my last. I’ll be making this at least a monthly visit. 2 meat plater costs $28 plus tax and don’t for get tip folks total cost $35.

02/28/2025: I finally went to Smoak Town and did not forget my decision. Some of the best darn Texas BBQ there is. The brisket, pork ribs, pork belly burnt ends, and jalapeño cheddar sausage are all TO DIE FOR!!!!!! Each were prepared and cooked to perfection. A MUST TRY!!!!

Stacy took my order that afternoon and she was kind and friendly. Will come back when my food belly goes down.

I have eaten BBQ all over the country, and definitely from every corner of Texas…and this is hands down the best BBQ I have ever had. This is some master level cooking. The sides were equally delicious. Everything was served up quickly by a very pleasant lady. I went during the week, no wait. But weekends are a different story, don’t be late or you’ll leave hungry! 😂😂

Sorry, no photo. It was so good that it was gone before I even thought of a photo!!
