First time trying it. The portions were a good size. I ordered the Lunch 2 meet plate with ribs and chicken with potato salad and broccoli rice casserole. The servers were friendly. The place was clean with a nostalgic atmosphere. The food quality was average. The BBQ sauce was ok but not my cup of tea.

I've been wanting to come here for some time now, and when an episode of Good Taste TV aired with this restaurant being a part of the show, I definitely had to give this place a try. We ended up getting everything delivered. We just didn't feel like heading out. The bbq sauce had a nice smokey favor to it. It's definitely a more savory taste, then sweet. I would love to try this restaurant again and maybe the next time around. We'll actually sit down at a table and be around the service and atmosphere, but for right now, it's an average of 3.

Really enjoyed the food. Ribs, and brisket were very tender and well flavored. The sides were okay. I had macaroni and green beans. But they had live music and made the experience very enjoyable.I'd love to come back with the family so they could enjoy it as well. Oh yeah, the price for the food was reasonable.

I did take out from there. Two baked potatoes. Both plain, meaning no cheese and no sour cream. One was ordered with turkey. Order was placed through the website. It was simple to navigate and place the order and there was space to add special notes (where I requested plain). Pick up was quick. I think it was about 10 minutes from when I placed the order to when I picked it up. I went to the pick up window, said my name and picked up my food. I was a slightly disappointed to see that the turkey, while it was plain, was not shredded. I thought it would be, for some reason, shredded. Instead it was diced into small cubes. I did appreciate that they had the barbecue sauce separate because I did ask for the plain baked potatoes, which actually made eating feel a little "cleaner ". I can say they followed my prepping instructions to a tee. Thank you. Also the BBQ sauce was very good. I am disappointed in myself for not ordering baked beans. It came out to $25 which is a bit pricey for two baked potatoes and some cubed turkey. It was still warm when I got home and was still tasty.

This place is the best! I love it so much, I have been coming here for over 10 years. The food is delicious. I have ordered the baked potatoes, the ribs (SO GOOD), the mac&cheese, the broccoli cheese rice, the green beans, the banana pudding, yams, the sandwiches, and many others. This is 100% a family place, you see it all around you. The staff is adequately friendly, not overly courteous lol it is what it is, they're just real. I will say it is expensive, but it's bbq what can you expect. It has a serve yourself type of feel, where you go and order your food and take it to your table, and then get your own drinks, at the end you let the employees clean after you. The parking is a bit rough, just because it is a small establishment. I haven't gotten the to go orders so I can't comment on that. A couple tips: 1. If you come with a group, send someone to find a table while everyone eats, 2. There are three restrooms, kind of hidden around (just ask someone).I will say I have read a couple of the low ranking reviews, and I disagree with them. But simply put, this establishment doesn't really need any defending, or for those few customers to come back. Their food is good, and it speaks for themselves.Long story short, it is a great authentic place, but just come prepared to spend money.
