While this restaurant may have a funny name and it may be off the beaten path it is definitely a diamond in the rough and worth anybody's time to check out. I admittedly knew nothing about this restaurant until my family dying there a few months ago. They were bragging about the food and how wonderful it was and how much you get. I honestly thought that they were maybe being a little over dramatic and overselling it. But after partaking of the food here they were spot on and maybe a little under selling it. If you look at the included pictures you can tell that they have an eclectic mixture of items to choose from. They have everything from barbecue to catfish the chicken fried steaks two sandwiches to you just about name it. Speaking with the employees and the owner the menu also can change from time to time so it sounds like they would have even more mix of items to choose from. After a little bit of deliberation the wife chose to eat the chicken fried steak along with mashed potatoes and baked beans. I chose the large catfish order that came with three sides and I had french fries baked beans and fried okra. I was not sure of the quantity and size of the Mills we were to get but let me tell you what came to our table was far more than what I expected. The wife's chicken fried steak was huge and according to her had a very good quality taste. In regards to my catfish plate I was thinking maybe three to four pieces of fish but it ended up getting close to 7. A lot of restaurants when it comes to catfish tend to sort of just be battered with very little flavor but not only was the batter crisp on mine but was perfectly seasoned. The mashed potatoes on both of our plates for not bad you could tell they were homemade. The baked beans had a little sweet taste of them which made you believe that there was a little bit of brown sugar but not enough to change the flavor profile. The okra you could tell was fresh and breaded perfectly and I almost ate all of them first before I even text the rest of my meal. This restaurant also serves a number of homemade fried pies. My wife bought a pecan fried pie and she said it was divine. The pies are not huge and a little pricey but the quality of them more than makes up for that. This is definitely a ma and pa old style restaurant that includes wood paneling older style seats and tables and a more rustic atmosphere. But I promise you that will all take a back seat to the enjoyable and delectable food you will be served here. I always want to support local restaurants and I was sure to be back at this one. I urge you to give them a try.

Have been wanting to try this out! Wonderful fresh food, kind and attentive staff, SOOO many food options to choose from. Large dining space, toppings bar, with in-house dressing options. Loads of pies to choose from, my favorites were chocolate and blueberry cheesecake. Kid approved! Fresh cut fries, the sweet potatoe fries and okra were my favorite!
