Place was clean. Condiment bar was clean. Average BBQ. Meat was a little on the dry side. Choice of sauces were excellent and condiments fresh. All in all food was good but on the pricey side especially for the Key Lime Pie, which was frozen. Was not a busy time and wait staff acted like we were putting them out to take our order. Two wait staff appeared to be taking extended breaks behind the front counter drinking beverages while one young lady was cleaning and restocking. At the end of our meal we asked for to go boxes. Instead of handing them to us we were directed to get them ourselves from an area clearly for wait staff. Observed kitchen prep or cook not wearing a hair net. We haven’t been back and unlikely we will. 2âï¸for poor customer service.
I just moved here to central Texas nearly 2 years ago and decided to try this place today. I have to say, the pork burnt ends are hands down the best I’ve had in Texas. Those may be the best pork burnt ends I’ve ever had. We also got half of a BBQ chicken and the jalapeño sausage. The chicken was perfect. Juicy, succulent and very tasty. The jalapeño sausage wasn’t too spicy and wasn’t to mild. Just right and very juicy. I am so glad we decided to try Smokey Mo’s TX BBQ. They far exceeded my expectations. I will most definitely be coming back to get more pork burnt ends and to check out the rest of the menu.
Quick stop bbq. Solid food. No atmosphere. Brisket was very good. the Mac and cheese was cheesy. Brisket cutter was odd but ok ( brisket cut up and put in a potato. Cheap
Love everything about this place! Smokey Mo’s was the first BBQ establishment I tried when I moved here four years ago, and it remains my favorite. Although everything I’ve had on their menu is outstanding, their ribs are the best I’ve had….anywhere! Their prices beat everywhere else I’ve tried as well. The staff at the New Braunfels location are the friendliest people in the industry. A huge thank you always making me want to come back for more. It never disappoints
Just had their brisket for the first time and I have to say, it’s some of the best I’ve had. Awesome flavor, juicy, tender, just awesome. Definitely going back.
