Traveled west on interstate 20 about 15 years ago. Decided we needed to find good Texas bbq. Exited at Monaghan's Texas and found pappys. Bought the brisket and we knew we found the best brisket in west Texas. Great memories. Thank you Cindy Roberts

It used to be really good. Haven't been through here in a while. The brisket was cold and flavorless and dry as for the sauce, nothing to write home about. The sausage was pretty flavorful, as well as the coleslaw because the green beans were as flavorless as the brisket and the corn bread as cold and dry.

Pretty good Bar-B-Que, overall. Was surprised by all the negative feedback, more than half of which was about hours of operation. I'm just glad it was open when I came through. I have seen this place on one of my Texas shows, either Day-Tripper or bucket-list, so I have been wanting to try it. The ribs and the brisket were really good. Sausage had good flavor, although somewhat crumbly. The sides were good. The lighting was too dim, but the decor was very interesting. If you are in the area, I would recommend stopping at Pappy's.

It's been a while I've eaten here but, still good food. The only reason I didn't put 5 stars was because the brisket was a bit cold. Not a big deal. I always get the 4 meat plate as shown on the picture. It's a little over $20. Work is slow so, don't stop as much as I used too. You have to try it for yourself. Sure you'll like it too.

You know it's gonna be good when the parking lot is completely full. I had the sausage and brisket, which was great. The brisket was super tender and not dry at all. The sausage had great flavor and spice. I definitely recommend Pappy's BBQ!
