I really wanted to love this place after all the good things I had heard, but honestly, it let me down.Right when I walked in, the guy at the counter taking orders seemed like he didn't want to be there at all — not welcoming, not friendly. The only bright spot was the sweet lady refilling the sweet tea machines; she had a great attitude. The wait time was normal, and I definitely don't mind waiting for some bomb BBQ. I ordered the green chile burger, brisket egg rolls, and Texas stuffed jalapeños. Unfortunately, the jalapeños looked like they were straight out of Rhode Island, not Texas — tiny and kind of sad looking. The flavor was decent, but the presentation needs some serious work. One of them even looked like someone had already taken a bite out of it.The burger had a thick patty, which I appreciated, but it was lacking flavor. The cheese was melted perfectly — honestly badass — but the green chiles tasted like they came straight from a can.The only real highlight was the brisket egg rolls. Those were actually pretty solid, but not enough to make me want to come back. There's nothing wrong with the location itself, but the whole vibe just doesn't hit the same as other local spots. I'm not saying it needs to copy anyone else, but man — give me a reason to want to come back and spend my money.

The burgers here were great. You can tell the difference between their wagyu beef and other burger patties from local burger joints. We got an All American and a Breakfast All Day. Both were delicious and the fries/tots were good too. The peach cobbler and sweet tea is tasty as well. Additionally, the staff were friendly and the facilities were clean. Price wise, we got all that for $37, so it's not breaking the bank. Will definitely be back to try some other menu options.

My first time visiting and I decided to forgo the traditional 3 meat plate. I tried the Texas Twister burger with jalapeño cheddar bun. Huge portion for a burger. I ripped out & at the jalapeño/cheddar sausage separately. The big mouth burger was delicious. Fries were generic, nothing homemade. However, the sugar/spice blend dusting throughout the fries brought them to life. Dr Pepper to wash it all down.

I visited The Half Acre for the first time on a busy Friday night and it did not disappoint! The food was amazing, quick to come out, and I love that they're now frying all their food in 100% beef tallow. They were really efficient and it was a great first experience. We will definitely return!Definitely recommend trying the Brisket Egg Roll. 10/10!

This is a great no-frills, old-fashioned Barbeque Restaurant! They offer great ribs, chicken, sandwiches, hamburgers, smoked sausage, potato salad, beans, and some pretty desserts! The prices are pretty good for authentic barbeque entrees. I ordered a hamburger which came with a huge patty and a huge slice of smoked sausage on top. It was Fantastic! 😛💯
