We came during a busy peak time and everyone was very friendly and kept the line moving at a great pace. The baked potato was perfectly cooked and the smoked chicken was on point! Great job Soulmans!

Had the bibs and sliced briskett. The charro beans or ranch cowboy beans can't remember name, 9kra, and cabbage. The ribs were smoked well and not overdone. I like to be able to taste the wood flavor, and the ribs did that. No sauce is needed. Briskett was briskett as it tasted tender, but not a lot of flavor for my taste. I used the sauce. The original sauce they have is a little sweet but not too seeet. Definitely not mustard base but good. The spices bbq sauce had a little kick but not too much for me, and I am kinda a whimp. The cooked cabbage was a favorite of mine. I liked the spice, the bits of sausage, and onions. The onions could have been cooked a little longer for my like. The fried okra was that. The beans I thought lacked something. I'm not sure, but maybe a bit of seasoning as they tasted plain to me. Beans with some pico added just not what I was expecting. I thought maybe more flavor from the brisket or something. I would skip the beans the next time.

This new restaurant is on the corner of the main road through Mabank. I had the 3 meat plate with Turkey, Brisket & pulled pork. The Turkey & Brisket were very good, the pork was chopped and it fell short of my expectations. The macaroni & cheese 🧀 was creamy & the banana 🍌 pudding was my 2nd side dish, it was tasty. It's a new, nice, clean restaurant that I recommend that you try.

I ordered 3 meat plate, turkey sausage and brisket with add on 2 ribs, wich they gave me 3, with fried cabbage and pinto beans, the cabbage was so spicy, could not eat and the beans were no quite done. The ribs and sausage were good, the sliced beef was dry and the turkey was more like processed turkey. Rubbery! Service was great, there was a line but moved quickly.

The Soulman's team and pit master delivered. I had the ribs and my wife got the smoked chicken & sausage.I've had ribs all over the south, smoke my own and Soulman's were great. Same for the smoked chicken and sausage. The guys working were welcoming and friendly. The restaurant was clean, lively and a great Texas pride vibe for convenient high quality BBQ.10x upgrade from the previous BBQ restaurant. Clearly have a passion and take pride in their restaurants.
