My wife and I came here for lunch. We ordered The Taste of Herms, which came with a leg quarter, rice, beans, sausage, and brisket. The food was alright, the beans were bland and the brisket was dry. I'm more disappointed in the portion size. We only got one 6in piece of brisket and a small piece of sausage. We paid $20 for the plate, I think that's a little overpriced considering what we got. We also got the banana pudding for $5 that the gentleman recommended. I don't think it was worth $5, but it looked good. When we opened it, it had a hair on the lid :(. Overall, the food tasted ok, I thought the leg quarter and rice were okay, but the amount of food that we got doesn't justify spending $27 for the two items.

We picked up The Last Supper taco (brisket, sausage, rice, beans and two jalapeño poppers on a flour tortilla), 1/2 lb. of brisket, a side of mac n cheese and a side of potato salad to enjoy at home. Everything was so, SO delicious! (My husband - the brisket lover - says it's the best brisket he's ever had.) Happy that Herm's is in Los Fresnos because we will be back for more!

Let me say this place is delicious. Don't let the little shack fool you. I don't know how I've driven so many times in Los Fresnos and never knew this was here. I got the last supper, it was a taco in a homemade flour tortilla with sausage, brisket, rice, beans, and 2 poppers. It was so good I was craving another one! We also bought a pound of brisket, 2 leg quarters, and a hibiscus tea. Those were the best leg quarters I had ever tasted. Overall, I wish I had more of everything. Oh and the Mac and cheeseðŸ˜‹ðŸ˜‹ very worth the drive
