We happened to stop be here on our way back to Houston. After checking out the reviews and seeing the huge crowd of locals, we figured this would be a good spot for some barbecue.Unfortunately, the kitchen was backed up a bit, so it took roughly an hour to get our meal. Our server was incredibly kind and was attentive despite juggling all her tables. When the food came out it was... fine. Don't get me wrong, their cooks know how to make a moist brisket and a damn good sausage, but the brisket, burger meat, sides, and chicken were just all... bland. When it comes to barbecue, good meat shouldn't need sauce and this all required sauce. If they can figure out a solid spice profile, they'll have phenomenal barbecue and burgers.

The double meat plate of brisket and chicken was bland, dry, and overpriced at $22. Sides of coleslaw and fried okra were tasteless. Ordered a $3 half & half, lemonade and sweet tea, and was brought an iced down sweet tea. There was no atmosphere, and staff were attentive only to take order and deliver food and drink.

Large portions but rather average quality. $100 for 4 people is rather high so we were expecting better. Only 1 slice of bread with a meat plate. We ate outside.

Nice comfy atmosphere. Got 1/2 lb brisket plate side of fried okra and potato salad. Nice got combo love the fried okra and yellow potato salad tangy. Ahh cold sweet tea and wow lean brisket cut was so tender and juicy. I was hungry and this plate was excellent. Hit just the right spot. I sure will drop back by again.🍺

Really great attentive service, banana pudding was the absolute best! Smoked chicken tacos were perfect, spice on jalapeño cheddar sausage was great. Wish we could have had porch potatoes, they were sold out by 1pm on a Saturday.
