Just stopped here yesterday on my way back to the San Antonio airport. So glad I happened by it. Unassuming, nothing fancy, but wow … I’ve never had such moist dry rub ribs. I definitely took advantage of the Wednesday all you can eat ribs plate even though I felt pretty stuff after the first helping. Just so good.

The beans weren’t that great. Maybe I’m simply not used to Texas style beans, though, and with such great ribs I didn’t mind. Decent salad bar.

Nice staff, too. Good price for as much as you get, especially with the Wednesday special.

I was in Kerrville and gave a lot of thought to which BBQ place to try. I’m very happy I chose Buzzie’s! Real Texas Smoked BBQ! They had all my favorites but I went with Brisket, Ribs, and Sausage. First off the Brisket was done just right, passed the pull test and the flavor was spot on. The ribs were very tender and had a really great smoked flavor and the sausage was as good as sausage gets, it was absolutely delicious. The staff were all friendly and helpful, they wanted to make sure everything was just right for us. The actual restaurant was very comfortable and relaxing! I really wish I lived down the street. I would be here all the time. So if your visiting or passing through you have to stop! If you live near by this is the only BBQ place you need to consider. So obviously if you’re reading this your one of those so go now! I’m telling you I wouldn’t do you wrong, I don’t joke when it comes to food!

Stopped in on a recommendation from a friend, and it definitely hit the spot. The atmosphere feels like the small town meetup place for locals. I thought the smoked chicken and ribs were better than the brisket – which was pretty good too. This might not be the best BBQ you’ve ever had in your life, but it definitely represents small town Texas BBQ extremely well. Next time I’ll probably skip the sides to save room for dessert.

Stopped in on a recommendation from a man that worked at the Exxon coming in from FGB. It definitely was a GREAT RECOMMENDATION. This place definitely gives you all the small town feels 👏🏽 the small sandwich is definitely not small lol but it’s all good I loved the brisket delicious!. Customer service was GREAT the young men at the front were very nice and helpful. Next time your in town I recommend this place !

Attached are the pictures of the large combo plates that my wife and I purchased today. The brisket, ribs, beans, and potato salad that I ate were amazing, and my wife really praised their Mac and cheese. The Cole Slaw and Peach Cobbler were pretty good (no pumpkin pie today). They gave us a sausage to sample, which was pretty good as well. The brisket is not really visible in the pictures, because the ribs were on top of the brisket, but it had a nice smoke ring, was juicy, trimmed well, and easily passed the bend test. I wasn’t a huge fan of the bbq sauce, but the food didn’t need any bbq sauce.

They offer a very nice “fixins” bar with all of the usual plus jalapeños and another type of pepper. Also, as you can see by the pictures, the portion sizes are big, so you get your money’s worth.

While the food was great, honestly, the best feature of Buzzies is the staff. The two young men who served us were amazing. They exuded amazing customer service skills, were very friendly, and they knew what they were doing. Also, Mr. Buzzie is very friendly. My wife stopped him and told him that we had seen him on tv (BBQ Pitmasters: he won best Texas brisket and cowboy steak). He talked with us for several minutes and graciously took some pictures with us at my wife’s request.

My biggest complaint is the location; we drove a little over an hour to get here from San Antonio. While Buzzies can’t be our regular spot, it is definitely going to be a place we will periodically visit.
