Strip mall BBQ restaurant. Our greeting was... "Ya'll never been here before?" as we weren't sure if it was seat yourself or wait for hostess🤷 You can't see the cafeteria line from front door, but that's what it is. Person serving sides was mute and just looked at us standing in front of potato salad, coleslaw and beans. We figured out we were supposed to ask for which side 1st, then on to the BBQ. We all had brisket and ribs. Both were very tasty, tho brisket a bit on the dry side . Coleslaw had no zing or flavor😕 potato salad was good. Only 1 BBQ sauce and it's at the table in what looks like a hot sauce bottle. It was ok. Prefer to have several styles to choose from, but maybe this is their schtick? The kicker, and why we would never go back if ever in the Houston area, is as we left, and we were the only people in the restaurant, we said goodbye to the same lady that semi greeted us, and she kept her head down, nose in her cell phone and didn't acknowledge us! Not the friendliest

We came at a kind of quiet time. We got our food quick and everything was cooked very well. The meat didn't even need a knife to cut it. The atmosphere was pretty quiet even as more people came in towards the end of the meal. I would definitely eat here again.

An classic Texas BBQ the way grandma made it. Best ribs ever! They only serve one original homemade sauce and it is amazing and adds a great extra flavor as well.

Luling City Market holds a place in TX BBQ lore. I hadn't been there in a really long time and stopped in for lunch. I ordered 1/3 lb brisket and some potato salad. I guess good brisket shouldn't "need" barbecue sauce, but their sauce is so good it's a shame to skip it. In fact, I love it so much I even put it on my potato salad. Don't knock it til you try it! I bought some sauce for my Valentine and left happy and full.

It had been 25 years last time I had visited Luling City Market. It was good then and is still good now. Had their brisket, pork ribs and sausage served on the traditional chefs paper. Delicious! Along with the delightful iced tea. Yummy
