Overall this experience was disappointing. To say that the food was $10 to $20 per person would be technically true, but also the amount of food we got was pitiful for how much money we spent. The setup of the restaurant is very much like a cafeteria, where you select items from a line of food a la carte, and place them on a tray. Even their meals are $20 and you barely get more than a sandwich. The service was also disappointing, with no direction or instructions on how the place operated. The server was sitting on a stool and just stared at us for half a minute, waiting for us to decide what we wanted to do when we clearly had no clue what we were doing. We paid $36 for all the food pictured, with a sandwich and a small cup of beans being $15 with taxes.
Houston BBQ Company hits a lot of the right notes! The service was super friendly and quick ✅, the restaurant was spotless ✨, and the portion sizes were generous — you definitely get your money’s worth. Their BBQ sauce was a real standout too — perfectly balanced with just the right amount of tang and sweetness!
The lean brisket could’ve been better, though — I still had to cut off quite a bit of fat, which made it a little less enjoyable than I hoped. The mac and cheese was good and comforting, but tasted more like a dressed-up Kraft version than a rich, homemade one 🧀.
Overall, still a solid BBQ spot with great service and good vibes. I’d definitely come back and give a few other menu items a try!

Wow just great! Patricia the lady at the front counter couldn’t express my gratitude more!! She is always so helpful and asks if there’s anything else I need or if I need any extra sauce or silverware and always so nice!! Also Juan, so great!! Always has the best recommendations, I’m Muslim and don’t eat pork or the meat there but he always make sure I can try other sides and alternatives without cross contaminating any food for me! He always goes above and beyond couldn’t recommend this place more and all my friends that do eat pork and barbecue are obsessed would definitely recommend! Worth the price delicious food and the best service you could ever ask for and great country music haha. The inside is definitely a great place to sit down and enjoy food whether by yourself with a friend of family
My family and I were searching for a place to eat. We were craving BBQ, but we normally go to Rudy’s, which is too far. This was our first time at Houston BBQ Company. My husband got the brisket, potato salad and I got the loaded potato with meat; the food was delicious. The servers were nice. This is our new favorite BBQ spot! RECOMMEND!!
By the way, the potatoes here are soft and loaded with meat, unlike Rudy’s, where the potatoes are hard and barely have any meat.
The beef ribs are tasty & tender. My husband ordered a 3 meat platter & he enjoyed it. I didn’t particularly care for the sauce but that’s the least because the meat was so good you really don’t need the sauce.
