Been coming here since my childhood and it ALWAYS hits. If you're looking for fancy BBQ or something similar to Terry Blacks Beef and Bun is NOT the place for you. I'm going to be real with y'all and say the brisket isn't the best, BUT there are days when they get it done right!! Now I HIGHLY recommend the baked potato all the way with 1/4 chop, French fries, onion rings, and the chicken. The baked potato is a classic that they have MASTERED!! They offer the freshest made to order French fries!! This spot has plenty of parking as well as a big dinning area!! Their prices are also VERY fair compared to fast food chains so if you're ever in the area make sure to check this place out!!

First time eating there since 1986..walked in and I was walking back in time, NOTHING has changed, the food is still the same decor, everything! I remember going there with my daddy in 1971 when I was little, and it was my favorite..I live so far away now, but everytime I go to the VA, I'll have lunch there in the hood, where I grew up..love it!!

I patronize this business all the time and have been all my life. Sometimes several times a week and rarely have issues. Most recently I went and ordered a baked potato with no onions and extra bacon, along with other things. I made it home, opened my plate, and there were onions on my potato, LOTS of them. I called the store. They asked if I wanted to come back in tonight. I told them I was not in the area but they could provide me with a replacement when I was in the area. The lady then proceeds to tell me I would need to bring the baked potato back when I come. So you're telling me I would first be inconvenienced in the fact that I now already have to use my gas to drive back to your establishment to get the correct order that I paid for from the beginning, AND I can't eat tonight because I have to save the baked potato to bring it back to you in order for you to correct YOUR wrong??? I told her I was going to have to scrape off the onions and sour cream and replace it with my own sour cream just to be able to eat the potato which would warrant a replacement by itself, but you're telling me I can't even do that because I have to save the potato and bring it back whenever that might be?!? Absolutely atrocious customer service. Do NOT come here!

The service was good and the food averaged out to four stars. You get a lot of value here. I ordered the rib plate with onion rings and my plate showed up at the counter with about 5 ribs on it for $11.19, ribs were good and the onion rings were even better. My wife got the chicken fried steak with one vegetable and a salad for $8.80, the chicken fried was very good as well as the salad, she picked lima beans as her veggie and they were a little bitter. They have iced tea which was good, sweet and unsweet, Delaware punch was also an option they've been serving since the 60's. We'll be back to try more goodies, I enjoyed a piece of sweet potato pie for a reasonable price.
