On my way back to Colorado, from visiting all of my wonderful and loving friends and family in the State of Texas and yet KNEW that I needed to revisit the small town of Hallettsville, where my grandparents and my entire mom's side of the Fabian family grew up, in those times around and before me, and stop by Novosad BBQ and Sausage store and pick myself up some Czech sausage to bring back home to family and friends here in Colorado. Needless to say, one of my dear friends has already enjoyed one of those links...and was totally won over by the flavor, mixture of spices, and ease of cooking! AGAIN, my hat off to Nathan and his co-workers at Novosad BBQ for his heartfelt work everyday!! Thanks Nathan and keep up Ur blessed work! Bruce D from Colorado Springs!

Not really one stinking star! This dumpy looking joint was closed on Friday at lunch hour??? Ate down the street at El Vaquero. It was Terrible. I wished it was closed too! Next time I'll just drive thru Hebbronville and eat elsewhere.

One of the true local favorites, has wonderful brisket and ribs but my favorite is the smoked pork steak. The owner knows how to honor the meat! Try their smoked dried mini links, one of the best I've ever had! There's a reason they had made Texas monthly's top 50!

Excellent Texas Style BBQ! Perfect balance of salt and pepper on the brisket . Pork ribs were tender and perfectly seasoned dry rub gave them the perfect flavor. Kids ate the ribs to the bare bone. Stopped for lunch on way to Port A. Wort the stop.
