Hunting near Gonzales out in Waelder, the Ranch Boss recommended Baker Boys BBQ as his go to place in the area. My buddy and I enjoyed some of the best BBQ we have ever had in our 50+ years. We sampled everything except the sausage, since we had a late lunch at 2pm and they were sold out by then. Brisket was perfect, moist, lean and enough fat to season it well, turkey amazing and chicken was render and moist. Sides were great and topped it off with banana pudding. If you are in the area, do drop in. Some of the best BBQ you'll ever taste and the friendliest folks!

Great BBQ! Brisket and ribs are both top notch.l! Sausage was good, but not as moist as Lockhart sausage. Great selection of sides (cheesy potatoes and coleslaw were great). This place is a great go-to for those who consider themselves BBQ connoisseur. Similar to City Market in Luling, but brisket more consistently good here, better sausage there.

I'm ashamed to admit that they've been there nine years and I live just down the road from them and today was my 1st time ever I guess I've just been at the wrong place at the wrong time to dine with them. I have been missing out! Fantastic food and now I'm telling all my friends, you must try it. Will not be disappointed, and the prices are better than what they are in other towns.

Wife wanted to try out Baker Boys today. I'm always down for some bbq.Upon entering the smell hits you and boy oh boy, the mouth starts to watering quick. The walk up front seems long..lolShe ordered brisket and sausage plate while I had their pork steak plate. We both looked up on their menu for what we wanted as our two sides and we both got green beans and Cole slaw, BUT BE AURE TO LOOK DOWN at actual available sides. There are a few more. Our bad!!Overall the bbq was alright. We weren't fans of the loose texture of the sausage, we like a snap to it. It reminded us of Blacks in Lockhart. Not the best we've had, but it was decent. The pork steak was on the dry side, but damn, it was huge and a good value for the price. The brisket was tender, but also on the dry side. This is a popular place as evident by the line that formed as we sat and ate our lunch. We must be spoiled from our other bbq excursions.

Our group tried a bit of just about everything... brisket, sausage, ribs, turkey, and pork tenderloin! The rib meat practically slid right off the bone and the brisket was done moist and tender it pulled apart with a fork. The sausage casing was thin and crispy with a nice snap to it. The sausage itself was a fairly course grind with a mild smoky flavor. The turkey was juicy with just a hint of the smoky taste pure perfection. The pork tenderloin was delicious as well, hands down it was a favorite at the table. For sides we tried the traditional potato salad, mac-n-cheese, pinto beans, and the smoked cheese potatoes. The cheesy potatoes were the big favorite. We rounded out the meal with some banana pudding to share. It was creamy, filled with fresh bananas and crunchy vanilla wafers. Heaven in a cup!
