I've lived in Galveston for almost a decade. I finally got to try this place. The food is absolutely delicious! I got BBQ plates and tamales. These are the best tamales I've ever had in my life. The BBQ is smoked to perfection. Sides are delicious. My only complaint would be the sides need to be larger for the price of the meat plates. That would be my only complaint.

Great hidden Gem in Galveston. Tight Knit Crew that know how to please their customers. I had the barbacoa taco and a 6 pack of tamales on my way off the island. The only thing I was disappointed in was I only ordered 6 1/2 dozen. I will not make this mistake on our next visit to the island. Barbacoa was succulent and juicy at every bite. The one thing this place has is character and don't let the small shop fool you. If it had all the bealls and whistles of a big-time shop, then it would not have the character appearance it currently has. I wish this place continued success, and I will continue to be loyal to the cause upon entering and exiting the island. Great job by the team in cooking up Great Food.

Wow. Outstanding. The brisket was so flavorful and tender. I was able to cut it with a plastic fork! Second, award winning hot tamales, very good. Great taste! This is a quaint "hole in the wall" place in a neighborhood. Highly recommended for takeout though they do have a few outside tables for seating. Note: limited hours. I also noticed tons of "regulars" buying food. The staff was very friendly and courteous...knew their customers by name.
