First time trying today.. stopped by once before around 1 and they sold out already.. so today I got there at 9:15, there was 7 people in line already, waited until there was 20 people in line.. once it was 10:00, line was moving pretty fast, maybe a 15 min wait.. great service, nice staff, nice place to dine in... I just was not impressed by the food, definitely not the best in Dallas in my opinion!Moist Brisket ✅ Pork rib ✅ Mild Sausage ❌ Burnt end beans ❌ Hatch Chile Mac n cheese❌ Collard greens❌ White Bread❌

I visited Cattleack BBQ and ordered "The Cattleack", it is the ultimate sampler for serious BBQ lovers. It included a massive beef rib, ½ lb of brisket, 2 pork ribs, 1 sausage link, ⅓ lb of burnt ends, ⅓ lb of pulled pork, and ⅓ lb of turkey! And nonestly, every single cut was spot-on.The brisket was smoky, tender, and beautifully marbled. The beef rib was fall-off the bone good with that deep, rich flavor. The burnt ends were caramelized and packed with bold, beefy taste. The sausage had great texture and seasoning, the pulled pork was juicy, and the turkey was surprisingly moist and flavorful, not easy to get right, but they nailed it.For sides, I had the hatch chile mac & cheese (creamy with just the right amount of heat), cornbread (moist with a touch of sweetness), and the incredible burnt end beans, which were smoky, rich, and loaded with chunks of brisket. To finish, the banana pudding was a perfect Southern style dessert: creamy, light, and not overly sweet. The staff was friendly and efficient, and even though the line was long, it moved quickly. If you love true Texas BBQ, Cattleack is a must. The quality, flavor, and experience make it one of the best in the state. I'll definitely be back with friends.

With high ratings come high expectations. It is good but for what they charge I expect better. A few people in front of me ordered a few items and their bill was $60-80. I spent nearly $30 for a little brisket and pulled pork. I left hungry and I'm a slim guy. Go once and try it for yourself. Then go elsewhere in the future for a full meal for the same price.

Like a lot of people, I bought a variety to get an overall idea for this place. Lots of good reviews and I agree with most. The turkey was some of the best, mild sausage was really good, ribs were great but uniquely sweet and peppery. The brisket was delicious but the higher price for Wagyu beef didn't make any difference to the flavor or tenderness. It had a good finger flop, especially for a thicker slice, but I didn't notice an improvement over Terry Black's or Guess Family in Waco. The flavor was good but missing a little salt on the bark. Regardless, it's take brisket over most meats any other day, but if I'm comparing, it was even with other specialty places. Off to Goldees tomorrow and we'll see how #1 does it and if it's all worth the hype. Oh, if you like a mildly spicy side, the pimento cheese cornbread is great! Nice tang and sweet combined. Not sure how it's made but the end product is moist and delicious. Overall, great food and worth trying. Prices are very high though.

It was the best barbecue I have ever had. The wait was worth it. We waited in line for 2 hours. We chose the trinity, which included brisket, sausage, and a large rib.The meat just melted off the rib into the mouth. The brisket was tender and delicious. The flavors were so tasteful and awesome. We also had street corn, mac n cheese, and bread pudding. Everything is homemade and worth every penny spent.
