My husband and I got a 2 meat combo plate with sliced turkey and brisket with green beans and potato salad. The turkey and brisket were flavorful, tender and on point. I especially liked the Carolina honey mustard sauce (not in picture...I got it on the side after we started eating) with the smoked turkey. The potato salad and green beans were also good and complimented the meat. The owners came out front and chatted it up with us for a bit before our meal came. This is definitely a place where you will get good service and good bbq.

The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, clean, and comfortable. After placing my order, I waited approximately thirteen minutes for my food.I ordered a veggie plate that included cabbage, baked beans, mac and cheese, and candied yams, alongside a two-meat plate featuring sliced brisket and ribs. However, the brisket was notably thinly sliced, making it difficult to appreciate its flavor, and the portion of ribs was generous. On a positive note, the bacon-wrapped jalapeno was a highlight; the barbecue glaze added a touch of sweetness that complemented the jalapeno well. The ribs were seasoned and tender, but I felt that they would have benefited from a glaze similar to that used on the stuffed jalapenos.While I am committed to exploring new local black-owned restaurants, my experience at this particular establishment does not prompt me to return.

I drive by this place everyday on my way to my morning coffee. I finally decided to stop. First, it's clean. The woodworking is beautiful. The staff was nice and the food was really good. I always start with sausage and brisket at BBQ spots. I had the sausage which had good smoke and not rubbery. The brisket is up next.

This is THE BEST food I have EVER had!! The quality is amazing and fresh. Everything was homemade made from scratch. The people are very sweet and down to earth. The owner chatted with us for some time while me and my sisters came to dine here. It is my first time in Dallas, Texas. The atmosphere and western decor is so cute. I love this food and the owner. I ended up ordered dinner to go and food for Sunday.
