Woody’s – Great spot to rest off I45! Jerky, Jerky and more Jerky! Every kind of jerky ever made. They give out FREE jerky samples. Great Barbecue. We had sliced brisket sandwiches, so good. They have jars of anything you can fit in a jar! See my pictures. Thousands of them! Oh yeah, they also are a Shell station, so stop for gas and fill up on Jerky! ðŸ˜ðŸ‘ðŸ¼
I stopped at the southbound location for a quick lunch. The service at the BBQ counter is great, filling my order for a chopped beef sandwich and a side of beans quickly. I got a drink from the fountain and paid for all at on of their several cashiers. The store is quite large, offering plenty of ready to eat BBQ and deli sandwiches. They have bulk BBQ and meats and many other general store items, too. It is definitely more than just a “gas station”. There are several tables available to eat inside, too. Overall, a very positive experience with good BBQ, too!
Take plenty of money because you are going to want one of everything! There is so much in this place and it’s all good, so good! We tried bakery goods and meat goods and were happy with it all, also had the chopped beef bbq sandwiches and, aside from liking my bbq sweeter, they were very filling and definitely worth the money. Great place to grab something different and delicious!
This place is awesome! It’s been here for years and it’s a favorite for travelers on I-45. Drinks, smoked meats, desserts….Woodys has it all. And you can get in and out quickly.
Ouuuwweee… I’ve stopped here before in the past, but forgot all about leaving a review – stopped in today for the first time in a few years, almost made a wrong turn because truckerpath was wayyyy off 😅. Really good food, I’ve had quail before, but never BACON wrapped, that was amazing, top it with the bbq basing sauce! Key Lime Pie was coo, Potato salad is good, those green beans hit —and the Pinto beans (fire, throw some red onion in that) come with orders over $5 free condiments… there’s seating available on the opposite side.
