Finally tried this place after being in the area for over a year now. Brisket mac and cheese could have used more flavor. Brisket taco was really good! Brisket sandwich was good! Jalapeno popper - was a bit disappointing. Brisket elote was probably our favorite!

That personal touch goes a long way in making you feel at home.We ordered several items to get a good feel for the menu. Right away, the french fries stole the show. They're seasoned with a bold, unique blend that sets them apart from anything else we've had in the Cedar Hill area. Hands down, some of the best fries we've tasted locally. Crispy, flavorful, and totally crave-worthy.The barbecue ribs were tender with a slightly sweet finish that we really enjoyed. The sausage had a decent amount of flavor—solid and satisfying, though not particularly bold. The brisket was moist and tender, paired with a sauce that seemed to be a blend of vinegar-based barbecue and ketchup. It wasn't bad at all, but if you're someone who leans toward more robust flavors, places like Spring Creek might have a slight edge in terms of seasoning and depth. Still, Mija holds its own.The mac and cheese was another hit, especially with the kids. Creamy, cheesy, and clearly made with melted cheese—comfort food done right.All in all, Mija Barbecue is a great local restaurant with a lot to offer. Sit outside at an umbrella covered picnic table and watch the kids play on the new playground, or enjoy a leisurely meal in the quaint dining rooms. Always a go to when I'm in Cedar Hill!

Staring out strong , you can SMELLLLLL the amazing units outback while you're walking up. From be he inning to end Sam & everyone else working were such a delight! The most amazing customer service and the food was DELICIOUS! We will be returning anytime we visit Cedar Hill ❤️ the pictures do it NO JUSTICE .We sat outside in the seating area and they still made sure to our waters & check in on us frequently. It really was a delightful Saturday spent in Cedar Hill❤️
