I've been a BBQ fan forever! Always searching cities I've traveled to for the best . Little did I know Charlie's BBQ was right here in Beaumont!! By far the best BBQ I've had ! I'm requested now to bring it when I visit friends from out of town ! Hands down the best ever!!

I tried your food while visiting my sister and brother in law..I asked for a dry chopped loose cut sandwich.. I did not get that.. against my better judgment I ordered a potato pie..shame, shame for $4.00. Barely a third of a cup of filling.. not sure what was going on with the taste and the crust., disappointed..

Ordered a 2 meat plate with ribs and sausage and a smoked boudin on the side. Didn't expect that the sausage used the same casing as the boudin (Just like Uncle Henry's on Lucas). I expected to bite into a sausage.....not have to pull out the meat. I expected the same kind of casing like a Zummo. Very disappointed. The flavor was great though but I won't visit again. The ribs were good. First and last visit. Also, OVERpriced.

I first reviewed this place a few years ago when they first opened, and I left a pretty bad review on a local Facebook review page. I decided to try it again today, and wow, it's a completely different story. Thick slices of tender brisket and ribs both tasted perfect! Customer service was super friendly and the drive-thru was fast. Anyone complaining about the price doesn't understand the cost of meats plus the time, effort and cost to slow smoke meat. I'll be a returning customer for sure. ðŸ‘ðŸ»

In response to the owner: Yes, I did actually leave a positive and raving review when I enjoyed the food. It was the very first thing I did. ********************************************** Original: I was craving BBQ so off to Charley's I went. Was the first customer of the day and was thrilled because if not the wait can be a little long. I ordered the one meat plate. With sliced brisket and three sliced brisket sandwiches. $38.00 I know folks may come for me but I believe in leaving honest reviews. Charley....what happened? The brisket was fork tender only but dry and bland to the taste, the sauce saved it. Their sauce is one of the very best I've had in the area. Reminds me of the KC style sauce from the Midwest, sweet and spicy. The baked beans could have come from a can. So unappealing. The potato salad reminded me of store bought brand because the potatoes were slightly rubbery. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't fresh. I'll just say absolutely no one stuck their foot in either one. When I frist had Charley's it was lovely, I was excited and bragged on it often. No one could tell me any different but I haven't had it since May 2021 and I'm not sure what happened but it is not the same quality at all. All I can say is there is some new and stiff competition in the area right now. One can't afford to drop the ball at this point. Charley's sauce is still the bomb though. I may try them again but after today...not at all at the top of my list to do so. Sorry Charley!
