Got there quickly after opening on a weekend & there was no line or anything. Food came out quickly. The brown butter chess pie is one of the most delicious pies I've ever had.also loved the latkes

only in Austin, can you get the best barbecue/Jewish deli food. Mum foods is top five for me in Austin for barbecue but it's a little out there off the beaten track so you don't have the lines like you have everywhere else. ribs are a must sweet and peppery and of course, the pastrami sandwich

Good golly I came here intending to get coffee at Talisman but got lured in by the ridiculously delicious smells, and the knockout punch was the menu. A smokehouse with matzo ball soup? Plates of BBQ brisket next to loaded smoked pastrami and corned beef sandwiches? How did I not fly at warp speed here sooner. Austin has been severely underserved by whatever we're going to call this masterpiece of a food temple.

Not sure if I would put it on my list but I think it's worth a try.
