Dropped a friend off at the airport, and this spot on my list was right across the street. The stars aligned and I decided it was finally time to give it a try.
Brisket (6/10): The brisket was super tender. But it was also dry. In my experience this usually happens when the brisket is overcooked in the wrapped state. The salt was a little unevenly distributed. But at the end of the day, the burnt ends saved an otherwise sub par experience.
Corn (10/10): This was one of the best corn based sides I’ve ever had. Moist, like the creamed corn from Terry blacks, but clearly with little if not no added sugar. Any sweetness you felt was from the corn.

Pit-master Joe & wife do a great job in perfecting his bbq. A definite 2 thumbs up. A must try when in Austin. Located by the Airport.
Hole in the wall is right but DANG that was some good brisket! Coming from a true Texan who’s had everything from Franklins to Rudy’s… this place is great! The Mac is BANGING! The lady at the front is kind and informative. Decent prices considering how expensive meat is… just wish they had turkey.

Great food wonderful service and down right clean place to eat. Just the right amount of smoke, not over powering. Rib’s pulled right off the bone were tender and juicy. Brisket pulled apart. Mac and cheese and potato salad were also wonderful. Thanks Henry’s for a delicious lunch.
