The food itself is amazing, the inside is beautiful and elegant. Outside needs work to be a place where parents can feel safe letting their kids roam. Within sight of the playground is an open shipping container, half buried electrical conduit, bits and ends of old projects piled up. While my toddler loves the idea of exploring each of these with zeal, I'm not in love with it. We also weren't able to get table service next to the playground, so we had to park our things 20 yards from the playground and take turns eating and watching the toddler. The playground is also labeled for residential use only so there's a lot of play to it. There's also nothing stopping children from running directly to the parking lot from the playground because there are 2 ways out.I really appreciate the gesture to parents, but this area would need more investment to be a safe space for children. A gate there would be niceI definitely enjoyed the brisket and pulled pork though, the pit master definitely has something special going on here. I'd also say they've got the cocktails on lock.

A MAZE ING! The 1lb beef rib was insane. They make their own sauces there, and this is probably the first place I have been to where the sauce COMPLETELY complemented the meat. The drinks were also creations of their own, and were so so good. They have a coffee martini that was dangerous! I was only visiting, but I wish I was there longer so I could come back each day to try everything on the menu.

The food was absolutely amazing! We had brunch and tried the Bloody Mary, frozen margarita, Mac and cheese, jalapeño popper dip, brisket eggs Benedict, coleslaw, and peach cobbler. We might have gone a bit overboard, but it was totally worth it. The food was fantastic, especially the brisket - it was so thick and juicy! And the creamy white cheese Mac and cheese was to die for. Outdoor seating dog friendly. Lovely interior design.

Duck Dreams Are Made of This! I recently stopped into Black Gold to try the crispy duck with garlic parmesan fries, and it was absolutely amazing! The smoked and seared duck breast was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The poblano crema added a rich, creamy texture while complementing the smokiness of the duck. The mango habanero sauce gave a nice kick with a sweet, spicy finish that really tied the dish together. The matchstick garlic parmesan fries were a perfect side, crisp and flavorful with just the right amount of garlic and parmesan. The combination of savory, spicy, and creamy flavors made the dish. Definitely worth the indulgence if you're looking for something unique and flavorful. Highly recommend it!
