I have gone 3 times to get a potato. And this is the 3rd time they said they don't have potatoes. So my husband asked for other items on the online menu we saw on their Facebook. They don't have/sell them anymore. Cool.Got a brisket sandwich only and it was $10. Portion was small (in my opinion for the price). The meat was really dry and the flavor was meh.Now I'm in corpus to curb this BBQ craving 😭

Ok it 's been a bit since I visited this bbq food truck to try it out. After speaking to the owner, nice guy, I found myself comparing his bbq with boot's bbq, so here we go. The portion about right for poppy's, boots a little under portioned for the price, but overall taste on the brisket was a nice deep smoke, Well the sauce was awsome. Now back to popppa's brisket taste was great nice bark and smokey flavor. As for the sauce basic, but we are not here to talk about the sauce. It's about the BBQ, both awsome places for food truck owners trying to make a living providing food to a community,. My opinion try both, don't, you pick the one you like or switch. I would say try their different items they provide. bbq is not just brisket it's the whole combination of items that create a good plate.

Had the double meat potato and my wife had the single meat. They tasted awesome. I would give it a 5 star, but honestly, it needed a little more condiments on the potato, but that's just my opinion.
