Ordered a two meat sandwich with a side, they didn't have one of the meats and helped me choose another option. The guy behind the counter was great, checked with me while he made my food and asked how I wanted my sandwich. Better service than I've had at most fast food around here. Food was good.. expensive for a gas station bbq place. Your saving grace is your employee for me. Give that man a raise.

First time here and won't be back. Got the ribs, and brisket, French fries, green beans and cole slaw. Suppose to come with Texas toast didn't get that. He gave me baked beans instead of green beans like I ordered. Hubby and I drive truck so I didn't bother to look in the bag thinking everything would be there, my mistake. First time and last time. I'll go back to mitche's bbq down the street, much better. And he was by himself so no reason to not get my order right because there was only 2 of us that ordered.

So I don't know what's going on with this location. First I came in at around 6:30p to 7pm, they barely had any choices for the 3 meat plate. I wanted one smoke turkey and 2 polish sausage for the meats, had to settle for smoked chicken and 2 jalapeño sausages with green beans and mash potato casserole as my sides, I wanted to add a smoked chicken sandwich as well. I got my food, drove down the road and I'm missing the sandwich and got mac and cheese instead of green beans. I would advise either give this place a pass or double check everything before leaving the building.

If I could leave a half star I would. The service is terrible. My husband and I stood for almost 20 mins waiting for someone to ask us what we wanted even though the gentleman working seen us. Then when I tried to order he had no clue what I was talking about because he was new he said. That's bad on the management side with the employee not fully trained. My husband is a truck driver and we have been all over and we live here in Amarillo I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone tbh. Maybe we will try again on a different shift but highly doubt it's anytime soon. This was very disappointing we had been wanting to check them out for months now and finally got a chance to and just completely disappointed.

Every so often I'll get a hankering for bbq and Dickeys happen to be at the right place at the right time. So I try it every few years and every time I'm reminded why I avoid them. The food is mid, this place is heavily carried by the sides because the BBQ is subpar. I got a two meat plate with polish sausage and sliced brisket and green beans with a drink. Came out to be a few cents short of $20 and it was not worth half of those pennies. I'll start with the good which was the green beans. Flavorful, salty and delicious. That's about the only plus I got, the brisket was as dry as leather, and the sausage has a greasy mouth feel with not much flavor to speak of. Both meats relied heavily on the BBQ sauce to save it, which it did all ok job. This new prepackaged sauce ain't it. I miss the BBQ sauce warmer with self serve cups. That bbq was much better along with all the pickle and onion my little heart desires. Staff was nice so there's that, I was helped immediately and the woman working was pleasant. Overall skip dickeys, might be ok if you need that fix, but there is much better BBQ joints out there.
