Unfortunately, my family and I left disappointed after our visit. That said, I do see potential here. It's a Black-owned establishment, and I can tell they're working hard to build their team and grow. The wait time was quite long, and we had to wait outside in the heat. Once inside, we learned that payment is required before being seated, not a problem, but it would help to have signage about this process. With summer approaching, a bench or shaded seating area outside could really improve the experience. It was also very hot inside, and we were told drinks are not refillable, which is different from many other restaurants. More concerning, it took nearly 30 minutes to receive our drinks and only after I went up to ask. It seems the staff forgot. When it came to the food, pricing felt steep. I paid around $27 for a meal that included three wings and a drink with two sides, items that would typically be closer to $14-$17 elsewhere (Johny B's for reference) Unfortunately, the wings weren't well-seasoned; while the breading had some flavor, the chicken itself would've benefited from a brine or marinade to enhance it throughout. The greens had a great velvety texture, but lacked flavor and were a bit bitter. The macaroni had good taste but was overcooked and mushy. However, the caramel cake was divine, moist, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. I truly hope they continue developing their menu and refining the logistics, because North Dallas could really benefit from more soul food options. Wishing them all the best on their journey!

I absolutely fell in love with soulful bites. This was a great choice I made to come to this lovely restaurant and get the best quality in food. First time but it is so worth it, I had ordered fried ribs with my 2 sides of potato salad and soulful sweet yams. I must say delicious, expect the unexpected because this will knock you on your feet and make you say I made the right choice. I also had a very delicious passion fruit lemonade trust they have other flavors but it's a must and it's just right too

It took a couple tries to get food but I finally got it and wasn't disappointed. The service is very friendly and staff very attentive. I order the Soul Bowl 🥣, boudin egg roll and caramel cake. Everything was good I came on Saturday hour before close. If you want certain. Food you have to get there early before they sell out. I will be back again for sure.

Soulful Street Bites is phenomenal, I'm not sure I could even get it enough stars or words to explain how good it is.I ordered to-go and was greeted as soon as I came in, the taller gentleman who took my order was extremely friendly and professional. I got the small brisket Mac, banana pudding, okra, and peach cobbler. I didn't even have to wait more than 5 minutes and everything was ready and extremely fresh. Took about 10 minutes to get home and everything was still hot, I tried the okra first; crispy, seasoned, fresh - then the brisket Mac, I can't speak highly of this enough the container is about a size you would expect and it was literally half brisket half Mac, there is no skimping out here they are FEEDING you, it was a 11/10. The desserts; banana pudding is full of homemade pudding, banana and cookie -tasted rich, buttery, not too sweet and just exactly perfect. The cobbler is served warm and has large, juicy, fresh peaches and a great amount of crust.Worth any drive, worth waiting in line for and I can't wait to go back and try the oxtails.

My daughter and I visited this restaurant on January 27, 2025 (First time) and we were pleasantly surprised with the amount of food on the visit and to receive extra items to sample. I was impressed with the cleanliness, the friendly service, and the care taken to cook/prepare their food separately, allowing us to enjoy a variety of meats and vegetables without compromise. (We do not eat seafood or pork) We've also ordered takeout on January 30, 2025 and every meal has been delicious. One day, we'll definitely dine in. Thanks for the great experience! Note: These pictures are of 2 take-out visits.
