Great brisket & chicken along with macaroni, potato salad & beans. Peach cobbler was good as well. The price per plate includes dessert & a drink which is not bad. Been stopping here for years anytime we're passing through.

Pulled off the highway with low fuel and an empty stomach—left with a full belly, a happy heart, and a new standard for brisket. The folks at Wagon Wheel BBQ are so nice, I half expected them to adopt me. Brisket? Life-changing. Smoked to perfection like it was blessed by a pitmaster angel. They even gave me a mini weather and traffic report like it was a BBQ-themed AAA. If you're anywhere near Ozona, skip the fast food—your taste buds will thank you.

Got that brisket plate. That brisket was good, real good, but it was almost more like roast beef than smoked brisket. That potato salad is the ticket and the coleslaw will make you want more. That bread slice must have been homemade, it was tasty. The BBQ sauce wasn't too good. The cherry cobbler was real good. The price was right and you'll get more food than you should probably eat at one shot.

Husband and wife duo. He makes the proteins. She makes the sides and dessert. No inside eating area. Several picnic tables outside with a fan. Otherwise we were all eating in our vehicles. Sausage was delicious - but comes from Austin. Brisket was pretty good. We were not huge fans of the macaroni salad or potato salad. Peach cobbler was good. Wish I would've tried the cherry cobbler. Lemonade was ok. Pay no attention to the interior "decor". If you're traveling in the area and hungry, it's worth a quick stop.

Barbecue definitely worth the detour. It is a former old gas station, and its second life still radiates that vibe. Brisket is outstanding, tender and flavorful. Don't let the small smoke ring fool you! Sausage portion is small but worth it. Potato salad and macaroni salad are mayo based and lots of cracked pepper. The slaw is a creamy vinegar, only mildly tart. Peach cobbler is definitely canned peaches, but the homemade batter makes up for that. Have I mentioned that your bread slice is homemade too?? Soft and buttery. Our truck and trailer fit in the empty church parking on the Santa Rosa street next door, but there is also a small Pilot across the not-busy highway if you prefer, and lots of standard parking. The single restroom is probably almost identical to its gas station days, except clean and smells perfectly fine.
