The fatty brisket is usually very juicy, tasty and hot. But 25% of the time or so the fatty brisket isn't hot at all... seems it sits out too long sometimes and cools off by the time it gets sliced and served. I love it nonetheless, and their briset beans and collard greens cooked in pork fat are both top notch sides. I even like their potato salad, which is very rare for me. The smoked chicken, and the strawberry cobbler, are both hits when they are in season.

Absolutely phenomenal experience at True Texas BBQ in Plano!I don't typically go for BBQ, but Wolf completely changed my mind. His friendly service and top-notch recommendation made all the difference. I went with the pulled pork, and WOW—it was juicy, flavorful, and an absolute chef's kiss! Wolf took the time to explain the menu and made me feel totally welcome. You can tell he cares about the customer experience. I'll definitely be back (and bringing friends next time)!Highly recommend giving this place a try—even if BBQ isn't usually your thing!

I've never been here before and didn't know that it was part of HEB, but it was...........interesting, to say the least. Service was very friendly, the atmosphere looks great, and the food was.................ok. I was truly hoping for something more akin to Famous Dave's which I DEEPLY hope will expand to the Frisco/Plano/The Colony/McKinney/Allen areas. The soda was sadly not as cool which is a let down. The chicken tenders were a little too tough to bite into and while the meat tasted ok at best it had a strong aftertaste that isn't the greatest. I honestly think they need to lighten up on the seasoning, make the meat softer, and add more breading to it. The fries are the best of the 3 but they need to make it juicer. They're potato wedges which sadly I don't see offered as often but they had this tornado shape to it which I've never seen. I told the employee that I'd honestly would rename the Potato Twisters which I think perfect describes these fries.Overall, it was alright. It's not the greatest but it's definitely not among the worst. I'd say check it out if you're curious.

Tuesday, April 22nd. Ordered take out for my family 20 minutes ahead of time on their app. Order paid. Found out when I got there that they had sold me food they didn't have. Took 15 minutes and two employees to refund my order. Been waiting 30 minutes to get the replacement food and still don't have it. Family gave up on me and ate leftovers. They used to be good and timely. Manager was nice, offered me free desserts and a few extra ribs.
