Absolutely delicious food! The po'boy with jalapeño sausage and brisket and brisket sandwich were both amazing! The service was above and beyond and as sweet as can be. My husband, daughter and I will be back- several times! Glad we found you!

Great Brisket, probably the best I've ever had. First time trying boudain, and it was great. Great and friendly service. Owners greeted me at the door.

Small BBQ spot right outside Brookeland, Texas. The lady who owns and operates the joint was super sweet and very attentive, assuring me that just about everything they sell is made in-house, from scratch. I walked in and requested 'wiggly' or 'moist' brisket. She informed me that they only serve lean brisket. I acquiesced and allowed the chance to have the brisket convert me to a lean brisket lover. I ordered a half pound with a side of homemade potato salad, and a side of homemade coleslaw. The brisket came out thinly sliced - I'd say maybe a consistent meat slicer 1/8" - and not running over with juices. Fat content nearly non-existent. Flavor wasn't bad but, I had to use quite a bit of BBQ sauce to get it down. No visible crust on the meat either, but this could be due to how thinly it was sliced.🤷‍♂️ Next I tried the potato salad. It was sweet but not overbearingly so. I believe it was mustard based and more akin to mashed potatoes than chunky potato salad, which is fine to me; as long as the potatoes are not undercooked. Lastly I tried the coleslaw. The coleslaw was very basic, consisting of 95% fresh, crunchy cabbage, 5% or less of carrot, 4% sugar, and 1% vinegar by my estimations. Regular BBQ sauce was pretty good and sweet, and the spicy BBQ sauce tasted mostly like any Louisiana style hot sauce. I paid approximately $24 for what you see. That did not include a drink or tip. I gave this place 5 stars because the lady was as nice as they make 'em, and service was exceptional. My thoughts on the brisket are preferential. I have met other humans that like lean brisket, believe it or not. For me, I want a slab of hot oozing brisket slapped on a massive wooden cutting board and sliced to order as juices overflow the blood troughs on the board. I like visible fat that renders fully in your mouth as you eat. I personally did not enjoy this brisket at all and felt like it was on the high side price wise, even in today's market. If I go back, I'll try the chicken. I think if they offered fatty brisket, I'd give it a shot. Please, please, I beg, do not pre-slice the meat.😭
