I have given this place chances after chances. The ribs are always dry. They are disgusting, tge dryness. I wouldn't recommend them ever. They were dry to the bone. Never again. I've called a reported this over and over. I try something else went back to the ribs the same results. I'm so pissed I paid over 35 dollars for a rib sandwich and baked potato with links and chopped beef. I will never again visit her again!!!!!!

I must admit being a barbecue snob and a bit of a pitmaster. I was not impressed with the ribs or the brisket. If you have a signature dish, whether it's ribs or brisket it has to shine. In this particular case in lacked quite a bit. Other than the fries that were undercooked And the barbecue sauce that was extremely weak the brisket did not have much flavor to it yeah tender yeah good color but not much flavor. Ribs Let's just say they didn't seem as though they ever touched any flame or smoke. Really disappointed.

I am beyond impressed with Smokey Joe's BBQ. The brisket is tender and smoked to perfection. The Jalapeno cheese has a good balance of cheese & and Jalapeno is not spicy but mild. Great for the weak at heart..lol But these pork belly burnt ends...omg, I've died and went to heaven. The flavor exploded in my mouth with hints of smoke, cinnamon, nutmeg & bourbon. The portions are hearty, and prices are reasonable. We will definitely return. Smokey Joe's is our new BBQ go to spot!

Was working down the road and searched Google maps for bbq. This place was about 1/4 mile away. Did not expect much. Wow! I just ordered a brisket plate. I usually ask for point or moist at my usual spots but surprisingly got sliced point without asking. Not sure if that's the norm or maybe just where the brisket was on the board but that's what I got. Thick slices cut right and a taste that is right up there at the best level for central Texas style brisket! Had mac n cheese and potato salad sides. Both great! I'm not taking away a star for my only complaints and thats the sweet tea coming in a bag and the hamburger bread. Both taste fine but would prefer house made tea with free refills and plain ol white bread. The sliced pickles, onions and fresh sliced jalapeño are also a great addition. Highly recommend! Good value too!
