This was proper Texas BBQ. Order at the counter and proceed down the line for all your food. The Brisket had just enough fat on it to be moist and had a taste that could make you cry. The ribs tasted like bacon just firm enough for a good bite but still ready to come off the bone. The chili Mac was a delight of comfort food that made me wish it was cold outside so I could warm myself with an entire pot of it. The collards were not bad. Small patio area for outdoor seating and a decent sized parking lot. The line moved fast but the employees were super nice and helpful. They also had a nice beer selection which was really great to get a local beer to go with the meat. Really our favorite BBQ spot of the many we tried.

If you find yourself in Dallas and haven't been to Slow Bone BBQ, you're seriously missing out. This place is a straight-up Texas gem. I rolled in with an appetite and left absolutely satisfied after devouring their ½ pound brisket—it was smoky, tender, and melted in my mouth like it had been crafted by pitmaster angels. The crispy tots and sweet, crumbly cornbread were the perfect sidekicks, making this meal one to remember. From the second I walked in, the staff was welcoming, upbeat, and quick to serve, even during a busy lunch rush. The vibe inside is casual and fun, with a laid-back, down-home atmosphere that invites you to stay a while. There's no pretension here—just great food, friendly people, and plenty of room to stretch out. Whether you're dining solo or bringing the whole crew, there's ample seating and parking, which is a rare and welcome surprise in Dallas. What really stood out to me is that Slow Bone isn't just for the hardcore meat lovers (though they're in for a treat). They've got thoughtful options for vegans too, making it a spot where everyone can find something delicious. This place is now firmly on my list of go-to BBQ joints—not just in Dallas, but anywhere. Come hungry, leave happy, and maybe even grab an extra slice of brisket for the road. You'll be glad you did.

Delicious food! Some of the best Pork ribs I've ever had. The brisket is on point! Smoked chicken is great! The bbq sauce, the pickles & the cornbread are also very tasty! No complaints. Great service! We will be back for sure 👍🏽

Jeffrey who was on duty, talk about a standup guy. About 4 of us are waiting in line not knowing one another, but all turned and looked like, "is this really happening?" As a customer at the counter was being extremely rude to one of the staff members weighing and cutting the meat. Jeffrey came over and told the man it wasn't okay to speak to the staff like that and politely and respectfully put this guy in his place and let him know he wouldn't be welcome if he maintained that type of disrespect to his staff. Not only was the bbq amazing, but the fact that someone when put on the spot showcased leadership and was willing to sacrifice business from this customer in the sake of doing what's right, very admirable. Glad I chose this as my lunch spot on my visit here from New York

Price was a shocker but the quality was well worth it. It's a small restaurant but has a great flow. Brisket was great, best mac and cheese was awesome with a little spice. Huge chunk of cornbread perfect baked and not too crumbly. The fried okra was really good. Be sure to try the small assortment of unique condiments.
