Pure Country BBQ in Pleasanton turned out to be a great surprise stop on our BBQ journey. We ordered the Texas Trinity with brisket, ribs, and sausage, and everything was cooked with care and solid smoke flavor. The cream corn made with white corn had a great texture, the potato salad was classic, and the green beans were unexpectedly excellent. What really stood out was the hospitality. The owners and staff were incredibly welcoming, and Pitmaster John even gave us a look at their hand-built rotisserie pit. Seeing the craftsmanship behind the smoke made the visit even better. If you are exploring BBQ in South Texas and want a friendly spot with small-town charm, Pure Country is definitely worth adding to your list.

Me and my wife just used this place for my graduation party. It was delicious. The brisket, rice, and sausage were my favorite. My family loved everything. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs to feed a lot of people. My in-laws picked up the food and said the owner seems like a sweet person as well. What more could you want than good food from good people.

Beats by far most big name bbq places. Rich in flavor, moist, melts in you mouth. Ordered a kids plate wasn't really hungry had one side of green beans. OMG am I impressed, bbq is fantastic, green beans like mom made them, delicious. I went to check the kitchen to see if she was there. A little south of Loop 410. A little north of 1604 on Pleasanton Rd. Worth the 10 minute ride. Not the half hour to New Braunfels or the 2 hour drive to Lockhart. Don't miss out give your taste buds a treat. Come and Enjoy.

Absolutely delicious bbq. Family owned restaurant. The most cleanliest restaurant I've been in. Service was amazing. Atmosphere was great. The AC was blowing. I recommend all of it but my fav was the sweet potatoes, sausage, and banana pudding. Will be back!

I wish I could give this place 6 stars!! Not only did they take care of us like family, but they gave us a tour of the pit and showed so much love. What great people! They also invited us to participate in karaoke and live music with their band. They offered to help us bring our chairs to our table and get situated, and they substituted one of our meats for another without hesitation when we asked nicely. The environment was incredible because we got to be in a ranch style home with Mimi's family cooking. The pit master John was careful and diligent with the food. Travis was so friendly as a cook staff, and he did a very good job learning and remembering our names, which wasn't required but appreciated nonetheless.

Food was all we hoped for, besides the creamed corn being out, would have loved to try it! Portions were meant to fill. The sweet potatoes and brisket were probably the best out of all that we tried. Hospitality was really the selling point, they were warm and friendly and let the kids feed the animals out back.
