This place is amazing. After years of passing this place I finally stopped in. I highly enjoyed my 2 meat combo plate. Their sides are amazing as well. Very convenient right off of hwy 71. Anytime I drive through here I will stop! You haven't lived until you have had Peter's meat!

My favorite BBQ in Texas. I lived in Bastrop for 7 years and came here 3-6 times a month. I highly recommend it. I'm out on Lake Travis now, and I miss this place. They had a buffet option, I'm not sure if they still have it. Great food.

Pete's is a country restaurant that has no frills. The food is exceptional. We had the pork ribs, sausage, and brisket. The many side dishes are homemade. It feels like a step back in time.

Absolute horrible experience from when you walk into the door. The blonde woman begins hollering at you what to choose. You have zero time to make any decisions. The food price is astronomical which isn't noticed as much when it tastes good but it does not.Your only coping mechanism is just to pretend you are at a "fundraiser" and you are donating to a good cause. Store bought potato salad, liquid Cole slaw, which helps with the dry meat on the dollar store buns that you can wash down with their old tea for 15 dollars. They do have free ice cream!Bottom line, follow the Buc-ee's signs across the street for better brisket or wait till you get into Bastrop. I was hungry and just accepted my fate, don't make the same mistake.

LOVE AT FIRST BITE 😍🥰🔥I'm from California this is the best food I ever had. The beans and green beans and meat were my favorite but it it's all so good. I don't ever want to hear again that American ppl don't have good food or culture. I've waited years to come across food like this. This has a unique taste it's own kind of flavors and I've never had anything like it in California 🔥 I got the Texas experience I wanted🤠
