Great Texas-roady BBQ joint. Go thru the line and watch them chop and prepare! Side dishes are very good, and I always get the blackberry cobbler as one of my sides.

Bbq was pretty decent. But I found it funny when he didn't know what I meant when I asked for a jumbo BBQ. I prefer molasses base sauce but this was good.

It was 7pm & I knew I wanted BBQ. And out of every BBQ place in Nac, this is the only BBQ place that was still open past 7- til 730! They always accommodate me, as I always ask for extra BBQ sauce & a side of pickles! But I'm a huge BBQ fan & this is one of my favorite places to always come to!

***The ratings for this restaurant do not match the reviews. I would advise you to read more reviews besides mine.****If two stars means average I might consider 1 star. I'm sure the folks here are doing their best but for me the food was incredibly bland. There seemed to be literally no flavor in my ribs besides the sauce that was lathered on it (which apparently I don't have a choice in when ordering). The potatoes salad seemed like mashed potatoes with a little mustard and pickle added. Got the Cole slaw but didn't taste as it was very creamy and looked less appetizing by the second. The place was fairly full on a Sunday after church so maybe I'm missing something or Nacogdoches has a low bar for BBQ.Worse part for me was I had been on the road for a few hours and I had been to a truck stop restroom a couple of hundred miles before this. This bathroom didn't look as nice as the one that literally hundreds of truckers visit every day. Quite a shock. Not unhealthy but just dirty.I'm not a BBQ expert or even a grilling guru but I could've done better on my propane Weber at home. That was my experience...

Very friendly staff of young people. Great customer service and selection. I bought the ribs and beef plate. The meat was so tender it fell off the bones! Peach cobbler was great, and so was the rice and the side order of beans. The only thing I did not care for was the potato salad. But everything else was great! It's a nice quiet place. We were there at 7:30 on a Saturday night and it was quiet. Our meal with three plates, three desserts and two drinks was $52.
