First time coming and EVERYTHING about it was amazing. I had a 3 meat plate - brisket, turkey, ribs. All three were outstanding, but I have to say the Brisket and ribs alone will keep me coming back. And let's not forget about the sides. It was hard to choose, but I ended up with the Jalepeño Cheese Grits and the Braised Green Beans - again both superb, but the grits stole the show. Will be back to keep trying!!

I'll take Micklethwait against any barbecue, anywhere, any time. The spread that Carson sliced up for us is as good as it gets. Brisket was perfect, beef rib was 98th percentile, excellent turkey and pork ribs. Traditional sausage and a Thai-style that was lightly sour. But, the star of the show was the lamb. It looks like chopped beef in the picture, but it was *perfectly* smoked, moist, flavourful, amazing. The sides were all top notch, as well. I loved the roasted beets. The slaw was crisper than standard and the caraway seeds were a nice touch. Incredible hospitality set the whole experience apart and I will gladly go out of my way for more Micklethwait 'cue. Thank y'all!

Lovely humans work here! So friendly! What a great space & outdoor patio. There was live music when we came-bonus! My husband said the brisket melted in his mouth. I don't eat meat, and there were so many delicious sides + fresh-baked bread! Highly recommend!

Not the same food truck from when I last ate in 2018, but it's not in cool old church with great outdoor seating. The brisket is just as juicy and flavorful as I recall. Still one of my favorite spots, and was recently Michelin recognized.

Stunned how a history of such great reviews contrasts from our experience today. A typical Rudy's has better BBQ than what we were served today. We ordered at 1pm so a bit late. Brisket was dry and bark undeveloped. Shockingly bad. Sausage was excellent but held too long. Ribs dry and sadly cold. Grits were pretty good. Beans and slaw were meh. Service was outstanding. Outside seating was excellent. I so wanted the food to be better. I would not return other than to see if we hit an unlucky day.
