Frankly, I had higher expectations. The brisket plate is a 1/2 lbs of meat, 2 huge servings of sides. The brisket was fully cooked and tender but I didn't taste the smoke, the Au Gratin potatoes lacked flavor, and the BBQ sause is a vinegary blend that just wasn't for me. The restaurant is clean, spacious and offers outdoor dining. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I will come back again and try something else when we are in the area.

I've worked my way through the restaurants on the strip in Luling and feel like I saved the best place for last.I got a three meat platter with two sides and a drink, and it only cost me $22. That will last me for at least three meals.The scalloped potatoes were really good. I'm normally a big fan of them, but I was surprised at how good they were. The broccoli salad was ok. It had a weird flavor for me. It's in thought as they have several options to choose from.The meat I chose was brisket, ribs and chicken. The brisket and chicken were both juicy. They were good but lacked a bit of flavor. The ribs, on the other hand, were fantastic. I would eat them all day every day. I didn't even use bbq sauce they were so good. I will be back for the ribs!

We heard this place was great, but it was mediocre at best. Brisket dry, sausage was okay, potato salad had pimento in it and tasted off, broccoli salad was more watery than anything, beans were flavorless. Kids said Mac and cheese was good. People working were a bit short and impatient. Definitely nothing special about this place, this should probably be a 2 and not a 3 star rating.
