We like to stop at local places when we travel; sometimes we pick a winner and sometimes a loser. This was a winner. The brisket was delicious. It was moist and flavorful -- no need for any BBQ sauce. I loved it. Likewise, the coleslaw was the best! Unfortunately, the Mac and cheese was subpar, in my opinion. The sauce was very thin, not thick and cheesy, I don't see how there could possibly have been any cheese in it. But maybe that's how they do it in Texas? So skip the Mac and cheese, but my husband said the beans were good, and like I said, the coleslaw was great. The interior was ... interesting? A low, made-over quaonsat-type building with add-ons. There was a display of personal family memorabilia, which I enjoyed. All in all, I'd definitely stop again!

This place is becoming one of my favorites. I've only stopped here twice, but both times, everything was perfect. I don't write a whole lot of reviews. If something is exceptionally bad, or exceptionally good, I'll take the time to let everyone know. This place is exceptionally good. Great food, great people, great price. Stop in here and visit them if you get a chance. You won't be sorry. If you don't like it here, something's wrong with you. 🔱🇺🇲

It's cold inside and not very well lit, definitely bring a jacket! The food was okay, had I not just been passing through I don't think I would go again. Walking in I was hoping to smell bbq since it's a bbq joint, but had I not known the name I never would have known it sold bbq. I ended up trying the spicy squirrel nuts and the chicken friend steak. The appetizer was a little oily from the grainy breading and lukewarm, I liked the concept though. The crispy coating on the chicken fried steak was phenomenal! Unfortunately without the gravy it didn't have much flavor though it was moist! My favorite part was the steamed veggies which were a little rubbery, but seasoned well. The red potatoes were sweet. Toast was burnt. My waitress was nice and doing her best, but the service was slow and intermittent. In bfe it's a good go to and I see why the locals enjoy it!

We stopped on our way back from vacation in Mew Mexico headed back to DFW. Truck and RV parking in the back. We got our food to go because we had our dog wanted to get back on the road. We got the ribeye and steak tips. Got the fried crawfish tales and pickles. The food was awesome. The steak was so tender and cooked perfectly. The ranch dip was made fresh and so good. We will definitely stop here any time we're passing through.

Truckers, truckers, truckers. The menu pics posted previously was missing the meats. I ordered the texas size food basket. It was good, the meaty beans side was delish. The fries were a bit soggy, overcooked to my taste, but everything else was good. Danielle the server/host who took my order over the phone (using a hands free devise) was very nice n kind. I would definitely comeback.Dine in had a rustic atmosphere. Felt like a buker, so I took my food to go. Snott makers friendly i guess. I would've dined in if i had the time.U can pull in n out when they r not busy w ur semi, but u r better off to park at the Alon a few min walk away.
