We came right before the truck closed, and even with being the LAST customers of the night-the food tasted amazingly fresh!! This was our first time coming and we got the cheddar jalapeño sausage and pulled pork. It's a tad bit out of the way (from New Braunfels), but definitely worth the drive!! Service was quick and he was super friendly. We will definitely be going back!!

This place is a hidden gem!We really enjoyed the brisket mini tacos and the brisket and pulled pork sandwich. You get a lot of bang for your buck in terms of quantity but without sacrificing quality. The green salsa doesn't need the heat to be delicious and has a unique taste. Very friendly service and reasonably priced.

I eat a lot of BBQ all across the country. It's a big reason I live in Texas. When I say this place is legit, I mean it with all of my heart. The food is just phenomenal. The meat has some of the best flavor I've tasted. The sandwich was massive and he didn't skimp on portion size! My only regret about coming here was that I didn't do it sooner and that I wasn't hungrier. Give him a shot, you won't regret it!If you come on a good day, Texas DPS will put on a free show while you eat.

Don't let the look of this place deter you from coming here. The bbq is LEGIT (pun intended). 5 stars. Just as good as Black's up the road (and cheaper).I was a little surprised that the owner (a nice guy named Ryan) didn't have any plastic knives, just forks, but then he handed me the brisket, and it was like butter. Fork cut right through it.$20 for a 3-meat plate. Worth taking a detour for next time you drive through the San Marcos area!

We randomly found this place on google when driving back from Austin. i Got a 2 meat plate with Brisket and Pulled Pork and it came with potato salad. My wife got sausage. First of all these plates were loaded with meat (in my picture i'd already eaten a huge portion of brisket) . Also, it's by far the best Brisket i've eaten in Texas this year. Outstanding stuff. That Potato salad was also pretty on point. Seemed like a pretty cool place to be when its busier because the bar its in front of is a designated historical location. Awesome awesome place
