The restaurant was looking great. Nice decor inside and outside. However, the food was not spectacular. Potato salad was without any taste. Try better with your food.

I got a 1 meat plate then asked for "moist brisket, extra moist" and they sure did deliver. Marbling was amazing, the bark was flavorful, and I didn't even need a knife. Mac n cheese was good. Beans were different, kinda sweet, but good. If I'm in the area again I'll be back.

Good first time experience. Great food, great customer service and beautifully decorated restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating, both are kept clean and comfortable. Outdoor seating has ceiling heaters and fans so temperature is not an issue if you want to dine outside. Prices are very reasonable.

Honestly, I'm surprised by the good reviews. Maybe we ordered on an off day, but the food was truly inedible. The Brisket was gray with fat that was chewy because it wasn't properly rendered. The chicken tasted metallic and was cut really weird. The sausage wasn't bad, just bland. The bbq sauce should be a crime. It was comparible to marinara sauce, but I hate saying that because that's just disrespectful to marinara. The sauce was tomato heavy and gritty. The green beans, my lawd, it smelled old and had an awful aftertaste. Don't get me started on the "Austin Beans" they can stay in Austin 🤢. We had to throw the food out, which is unfortunate because we hate food waste. Again, maybe it was an off day, but $90 for 4 meals will keep me away forever.

If you're looking for a truly Texan experience with all the hearty, well-seasoned goodness you could ask for, this is the place to go. I've been a regular at Lazy Dog just across the street—let's face it, we're all creatures of habit—but I decided to shake things up and give this spot a try. And boy, was I pleasantly surprised! It felt like stumbling upon a hidden treasure, the kind that makes you wonder, "Why didn't I know about this sooner?"Let's talk about the food, because that's why we're here, right? The baked potatoes were out of this world—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. Seriously, these potatoes aren't just a side dish; they're a star all on their own. And the brisket? Well, it was tender, juicy, and had that smoky flavor that only real Texas BBQ can deliver. You know that moment when you take a bite, pause, and just have to let out a satisfied "mmm"? Yeah, that was me, probably embarrassing myself, but who cares when the food is this good? Now, let's not skip the dessert. Normally, I'm one of those people who "just looks" at the dessert menu, fully intending to resist. But here? Resistance was futile. The desserts were practically waving at me from the checkout area, already beautifully prepared and ready to go. It was like they knew I didn't stand a chance. And honestly, I'm not even mad about it.Oh, and if you need a last-minute gift—or just want to treat yourself—this place has you covered with their cute little gift section. I almost left with a bag of goodies I didn't plan to buy, but who can resist a little retail therapy after a great meal?Last but definitely not least, the staff was incredibly sweet. It felt like being welcomed into a friend's home where they're genuinely happy to see you and make sure you leave with a full stomach and a smile on your face. Friendly, attentive, and just all-around delightful, they really added to the experience. So, if you find yourself near this spot, do yourself a favor and check it out. You might be coming for the baked potatoes, but you'll leave with a new favorite spot—and probably a little extra dessert in hand. Cheers 🥂
