I recently visited Cotulla's BBQ and was thoroughly disappointed with both the service and food. The Cotullas platter was ordered, but the menu lacked clear descriptions of each dish. Our server was inattentive and didn't check in on us.The choriquezo appetizer was brought without plates or utensils, which was unexpected. The food itself was subpar: stale tacos, improperly prepared brisket, cold and flavorless enchiladas, and unappetizing potato salad. The tortillas were also hard.Given the price point of around $75, we expected better quality. Unfortunately, our experience was unsatisfying, and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Perhaps they can use this feedback to improve.

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. The place was dead, yet it still took a while for someone to approach our table. The chips and salsa were crumbs, just look at the pic. Look at the giant chunks of lettuce in my taco. My wife couldn't even finish her plate, cause she said it tasted meh. The chicken on mine had zero flavoring. It seems like they put a whole lot of time, money, and effort to prepare this place at this location. Too bad that same effort isn't put into the menu and food quality. Hopefully they make the needed corrections and turn this place around. Never going back. Do not recommend

To begin with, the menu is full of options! We were served in a few minutes and plates were freshly prepared and very cleanly presented. I personally recommend the enchiladas (verdes) with brisket since it has an outstanding natural taste and plenty of food with rice; beans and veggies sides as well! Atmosphere is very calm and everything looks clean and employees are very polite.

They tried hard to give good service. Got too chaotic. The food and not even the "Cotulla's tomato salsa" was not the same. I was urged to visit since it was new and Times write up proved to be misleading. I wish them success by their own merits. Not nostalgia over a past favorite. Be careful. The floor was like oily slippery.

Was Really looking forward to eat at this place. The Newspaper, a fellow employee in Fort Sam Military Base and Cotulla employees when I called Cotulla Restaurant said the food is just like the Legendary Cotullas in The 80's.But Nope! Not even close. But my Dad, Mom and My Love liked the food. Anyway my love, and me did a Roady from San Antonio to Laredo Tx. I was born and raised in Laredo Tx my parents still live in Laredo so I invited them for breakfast also.
